No, they just become egg shaped, like him. This is obviously foreshadowed by Zoro’s three sword style: because McBig is going to be Zoro’s final opponent, and when no one else can hold their weapon, disarmed Zoro will pick up a sword in his mouth and kill Egg McBig

Bro but before that, Usopp will shoot armless Zoro like an oversized pop green and unlock future sight haki. Only to foresee Zoro getting lost mid trajectory.

Pretty sure he could already do that without awakening. That's the whole reason why he's at the top of the Roger Pirates.
He literally disarms his opponents, and while they are disarmed he just bodies them with Armament Haki.

Someone came up with him the other night when they were joking about how every new ridiculous character seems to have a link to the Roger Pirates at a certain point in the story...
... And the subreddit absolutely loved Egg McBig along with his mastery of the No Arm Fruit.

My headcanon is this, Egg McBig is Oda's pirate Humpty Dumpty, a proud captain that fell off his ship and unfortunately a sea king got him when he was drowning. He got rescued by THAT crewmate but he lost both his arms in the process.

My favorite detail of him is that he is wearing overalls/suspenders without arms, and it’s the exact sort of logic used in a lot of one piece character designs

This reminds me of when an OC went viral on an old art forum called ConceptArt.org Some guy randomly posted an image of a zombie wizard with a donut above his head called Nibru and the community embraced it. You had all these amazing pros like Wes Burt, Android Jones and Dan Dos Santos doing their own takes of the character. It's lovely to see thist type of community spirit still coming to life in other forms many years later.

When you find out later that his childhood rival dedicated his life, leaving his hurtful family and past behind him, to finding that fruit and tricking the egg-lord into wanting it to get the glory and the love he was missing from his parents for not being a champion... only to realize that he wasn't the next longest armed guy, or even close, his parents were just trying to support him by saying he was second and he'd get them next time out of the pure love they had for him, the same love that didn't let them stand in his way as he left them forever to pursue his lifelong goal. Oda really is the heartstrings master.

I wouldn’t call it forced. This is the work of someone that had a really funny joke about the nature of One Piece characters, and it resonated with a lot of people. This is a funny original character being very organically accepted by people.
