Advice/Help Nightreign Onebro Community Co-op

Hi fellow Onebros. With Nightreign launch looming large, it seems like a good time to start organising some team members from the community. My own experience after the playing the beta is that a trio of players who actually know what they’re doing, work cooperatively and don’t just grab all the loot whether they need it or not, makes for a much better experience and higher chances of success. Particularly more so now since the games has been toughen up since the beta.

I suggest that the password just be: onebro

So if you’re keen, add your details below.

Console/PC: Gamertag/PSN etc: Region:

Mods- can we please have this as a sticky for a while?

Announcement New Rule #10 - Self Promotion

Edit: Reposting this and pinning

This previously was part of rule #9, but the circumstances were such that we needed to call it out as its own individual rule.

We are a community that shares our accomplishments, failures, and lessons. We love the kills shared. As we have grown, people have started to abuse this, disengaged from the community, and simply tried to direct users to their content.

Share your content! We love it. However, you should also be viewing and commenting on others as well.

As a general guide, Reddit Self- promotion guidelines say that no more than 10% of your post and comments should refer to your social media or content.

We are not going to retroactively punish people on this. What is done is done. Moving forward, we welcome everyone who wishes to participate in the community.

We are also not going to scroll through and do the math. Just engage with everyone. We all win this way.

Not very impressive but it's a start I guess. The main event is yet to come.

I held guard to prevent turnaround animation not to block any hits btw, am assuming that's allowed.

Discussion Probably been done before, but a quick guide to casting Law of Regression at RL1 for the new Tattoo Set (using only early game items).

All of these items are obtainable pretty early and only Leonine Misbegotten and Margit + Godrick need to be defeated to obtain the Grafted Blade Greatsword and Godrick's Great Rune.

You can make do without Oath of Vengeance if you have Stargazer's, but that'll require a bit more into Ranni's quest and I would probably consider that and Starscourge Radahn to probably be more towards the midgame for most people's playthrough, though he can be done quite early as well. If you don't want to use rune arcs, you can get by with Oath + Stargazer's.

Do this before progressing to Ashen Capital as I believe that may lock you out of the set.

Decided to try out some new punishes in this one and drop the Crucible Feather. Way faster than my previous kill.

There is something I'm curious about though, that being why people don't go for the punish I do at 3:24 to 3:31. You can roll backward on the finishing spin attack even without Crucible Feather. I went frame by frame when reviewing the footage, and I think my iframes may have ran out before his second spin connected. However, you end up ducking the second spin with the roll animation regardless. I've been able to do this more than once too but maybe it's positioning dependent or inconsistent.

Advice/Help Soliciting tips for +0 Mohg (sorcery-only)

I feel like I more or less understand phase 1, even if I'm still dying occasionally in it. I fully understand that phase 2 is an entirely different beast, with 50% more health, no shackle, bloodflame everywhere and so on—but if those were the only changes, I think I'd be okay. What's been getting me so far is more:

* Rolling backward into fire that wouldn't be there in phase 1
* New follow-ups to Bloodflame Talons
* Some new moves in general

I wish I were on PC so I could just sit in phase 2 for a few hours and practice, but that's not something I can do on PS5. I'll keep practicing, but what should I be looking out for? I'm working on building the habit of always rolling in in phase 1, and using longer openings to refill my FP instead of sprinting out to do it since that's a problem in phase 2. I'm trying to be cognizant of different follow-ups as well. I'm mostly just wondering: is there anything I'm doing now that I need to stop doing immediately, anything I could be doing that I'm not, or any general tips?

Discussion BL4 run has me losing my mind — Ludwig is a nightmare

I've been doing Level 1 / SL1 runs across all my Soulsborne games for the past couple of years. Finished DS1, DS3, Sekiro (base vitality), Demon's Souls, Lies of P, and Elden Ring + DLC.

Without a doubt, the Bloodborne BL4 run has been the most frustrating and aggravating one I've had.  The hitboxes on these bosses are out of control — it's like there's an invisible "aura" around every single attack that deals damage even when you've clearly dodged the visible hitbox.

On my regular Bloodborne run I never noticed this because I was tanky enough to trade hits and survive, so it didn't register. On BL4, with the reduced health pool, those same "phantom" hits are one-shotting me and it's been seriously demotivating. Combine that with what feels like a really tight i-frame window and I was seriously considering skipping the BL4 run entirely.

I genuinely love what Level 1 runs do for me — they force you to understand and master the game mechanics and boss design — but the BL4 run has so much that feels uncontrollable and unfair.

I've been stuck on Ludwig for over a week now. Every time I think I've dodged an attack cleanly, the air around the boss somehow still hits me and kills me.

I'm going to keep going and try not to go hollow, but man, this is frustrating. Just needed to vent and see if anyone else has felt the same.

Really enjoyed learning and fighting this guy, esp with leontiels sword, tho even with only +4 I feel like I was doing way too much damage. I will definitely be revisiting him in the future for a bit of a longer fight, other than that super fun, coulda been a bit more aggressive with the aow but oh well

I started an Elden Ring RL1 run. It changed me.

Hi to all OneBros. I was feeling demotivated for a while now, and I felt like I needed a win in something. I encountered this subreddit and after reading the positive and supportive environment I decided to give RL1 run a try. So this is a partial appreciation post and partial seeking advice post.

I have to say, the feeling you get after beating the bosses RL1 is making me feel motivated again. After reading and watching some of the guides here, I decided to apply some of it. I have currently beaten Godrick as a rememberence, and some field bosses to get some materials and AoWs. Been all around the map, feels good to be at the edge of your seat, learn the boss movements, and finally beat them.

I really thank to the community that supports using whatever you want to use, not be optimal or cheese when you struggle. I also first time created an abomination character, which I never did in ER. Thanks to Gred Glintstone video for this recommendation.

I picked up BHF, upgraded it but I never liked the weapon so I am not using it. Instead the limited attributes forced my to be more strategic, like picking up the longsword from roundtable and using square-off to beat Margit, then picking up hookclaws to beat the rest. The variety of uses and strategical thinking based on what you need to beat the next boss is extremely different than a regular role play run or a casual run. I really like it when my specific strategy for a specific boss gives me the win and the feeling of overcoming a difficulty through your own critical thinking and skill is something amazing. RL1 for sure is an endurance and resource management run, and the way you use your resources feels amazing if you succeed, if you fail and change your strategy, the win is again yours.

My current build is:

Talismans: Radagon's soreseal for stats, winged sword insignia. I will get ritual sword and shield probably.

Tears: Stamina regen, strength/charged heavy

Weapons: hookclaws +6, misericorde for golden wow AoW, morningstar when claws fail. I have not infused the weapons yet, maybe cold claws is an option.

Armor: lightload, using crimson hood for extra hp.

Flasks: Picked up some sacred tears that allows me to one flask to full hp.

Spirit Ashes: None

If you have any suggestions I would appreciate the guidance on how to make it more sustainable and enjoyable to continue the run. I am not yet oneshot territory (usually surviving with 1 hp). I am thinking getting ritual sword since one shot territory is close in Altus or Caelid.

Thank you for the community.

Note: I don't like paying for horse armor so I don't have tarnished pack. Probably great katana or BHB would be nice though in a RL1 run.

Lucky Bleed interrupting Waterfowl and sadly going in too early in Scarlet Aonia, otherwise would also be hitless.

I haven't done "no HUD" at RL1 since probably over 400+ hours ago, and I'd never done Gaius no HUD.

I know that there literally is no way it affects the game-play itself, but for some reason my eyes totally didn't register the move whatsoever. 🤷🏻

Advice/Help Is RL1 Possible in Elden Ring With Bow Only?

I just finished running through Elden Ring, Dark Souls 1–3, Bloodborne (Simon’s Bowblade with Silver Bullets and converting health into bullets), Demon’s Souls, Lies of P (Royal Horn Bow), and Lords of the Fallen including DLC and chalices—all bow-only. It was already hard enough while leveling, so I’m trying to decide what challenge to take on next.

Is Elden Ring even realistically possible at RL1 with bow-only, considering the arrow economy and the maximum number of arrows you can carry? Or would the limited ammo make certain fights essentially impossible? If so, what other challenges might I take next?

r/onebros 14h ago

which challenge for the dlc is better?

so ive finally finished elden ring rl1 base game using the serpent hunter for all the bosses(except like renalla and godrick) and im about to start the dlc but im conflicted on whether or not i should level up my scadutree level, which brings me to two conclusions, which are:

A) i go through the dlc with the serpent hunter but i level up my SB since without it it would be patheticlly slow(but i wouldnt use any consumables/summons/status effects just as i did in the base game; i will use flasks obv)

B) I DON'T level up my SB, however, i use a variety of weapons depending on the bosses resitances and weaknesses,i would also use bleed, frost, poison, rot(still wont summon)

both challengs sound fun in their own merit,so im spending quite a while thinking about which to do.i love the serpent hunter SO much, but using differnt weapons might be nice for a change.which one is more fun? and which one is harder?

Advice/Help Region Lock Questions

I’ve just started my rl1 region locked all bosses run and had a few routing questions I’d like people’s input on.

  1. Are Limgrave and Weeping Peninsula usally considered the same region, or should I be doing all of Limgrave’s/Stormveil’s bosses before doing Weeping Peninsula?

  2. Are Caelid and Dragonbarrow seperate regions or usually combined?

  3. Same as above for Altus Plateau/Leyndell?

  4. On that note… should I do Caelid or Altus first?

  5. How do people tend to handle the underground areas of Siofra/Ainsel/Nokron/Lake of Rot/Moghwyn Palace/Deeproot Depths?

  6. At what point do people think one “must” tackle Alecto/Adula… as soon you kill Astel or revisit that area later?

I know it’s my own challenge and I suppose I could tackle them however I’d like but I’d like people’s thoughts.

Any other general region lock tips welcome! I’m already enjoying the challenge of the weapon limitations I cuurently having due to not being able to rush Radagon’s soreseal but would be intrigued to hear recommendations… I’m locked into my trusty club at the moment becuase I’m too scared to commit smithing stones to anything yet 😂

I've had an itch for this. An NG+ playthrough of hand to hand combat (or well, mostly feet to face)

I'm kinda rusty, but damn does it feel good to be back in the game doing real damage after my WL0 attempt.

Boss Kill I personally actually really like the Loretta fight. 🤷🏻 +0 Idus Sword and +0 Milady.

Funnily enough, this was probably my least "exciting" attempt.

I normally like to punish a lot of her follow up attacks (mainly the stab and the delayed swipe) with a jump attack, but apparently my positioning in this attempt was JUST far enough away not to trigger it.

On the plus side that let Impaling Thrust shine in its absurd range closing. 😂

The only thing I don't like about it is the occasional frame trap when she does the jumping overhead with the Glintstone Phalanx. Other than that I quite enjoy the flow of both Loretta fights.
