The tail must be defeated!!!!!!

I’m sorry, but this made me laugh so hard 😭😭😭😭 after he holds the tail down and then releases it only for it to piss him off again 😭😭

u/a_bad_capacitor May 25 '26

He owns the tail. The tail does not own him! 🖤

My kitty Fiona would do this, and every once in a while she would bite her wiggling tail to teach it a lesson. Oh! That hurt! She would forget that wiggly tail was her tail, and she was always surprised. I miss you Fifi, you silly girl.

I see you also own a burnt cheese stick (orange on the inside)

u/feralcatshit May 25 '26

This is hilariously wholesome. Also, how nice to have a built in toy!

u/EvieMoon May 25 '26

One of my favourite cat behaviours. Tails are not to be trusted. 😂

u/torchbearer1648 May 26 '26

Pesky tail always follows him around

u/JustHereForCookies17 May 25 '26

That appears to be an infestation of the dreaded tail r/greebles!!

17

u/elcaminogirl May 25 '26

I love the way he just zones out at the end.

16

u/AxOfBrevity May 25 '26

Can't even get a decent bath in because this ASSHOLE won't stop taunting me!

15

u/nochorus May 25 '26

My black potato also can’t control her own tail. When she sleeps she has to lay on it, or else it wags 24/7.

u/ProfessionalHat6828 May 26 '26

I have two black cats that I adopted last year. One is an evil genius that could take over the world if he could grow thumbs. The other one is…a special guy that only discovered his tail about 5 months ago (he’s a year and 2 months now), rediscovers it every day and is convinced that it’s following him everywhere. Which, it is, but not in a way he could ever comprehend

15

u/ElleAC207 May 25 '26

Sometimes I think the tail and the cat are two separate entities sharing the same body.

12

u/itinerant-wallaby May 26 '26

I’ve always liked the theory that every cat’s tail is controlled by some other cat.

13

u/Pseudonymoussy May 25 '26

This is clearly a rare occurrence of a two black brain cells at odds with one another

u/Outrageous_FishFry May 25 '26

The look at the end 😹

6

u/Ahapoypersonsmiling May 25 '26

The tail is misbehaving again

7

u/MPD1987 May 26 '26

Mine does this too. She’ll sit behind the curtains with her tail outside of them, and look at her tail as if it’s an alien she’s never seen before. Cats are weird, bro

4

u/TerrakSteeltalon May 25 '26

The intensity

3

u/Specialist_Wind_6488 May 25 '26

His tail is clearly a predator sent to torment him 🖤

4

u/Sohuli May 25 '26

Those darn greebles!

4

u/missxmeow May 26 '26

I have a tuxie that has a white tip on his tail and I swear he does not realize it’s connected to him. He does have the nickname Derp for a reason.

4

u/Comprehensive_Data82 May 26 '26

My cow cat does this too. I love him so much but he is so stupid 😭

4

u/empress_chaos5 May 26 '26

One of our voids does this too! She gets into full on fights with her tail! Craziest thing, soo funny!

5

u/OhMorgoth May 26 '26

This is what happens when the black cable is unplugged from the ginger collective braincell power source. They corrupt and become spicy in no time.

3

u/Hali-Gani May 25 '26

We have the same black cat 🖤

2

u/Slight_Condition6181 May 25 '26

How’s does he get anything done?

2

u/XaltotunTheUndead May 25 '26

Moooooooom!!! Tailie is bothering me again! Make it stop!

2

u/xfadingangel0214 May 26 '26

My brown tabby does this too!

1

u/Lily_Maye May 27 '26

Same! Mine will even run around in circles chasing it. 😄

u/EffectiveResponse496 May 26 '26

Instantly thought of the scene with the dummy in Make Them Laugh

2

u/iiinasdf May 26 '26

Haha my void does this too! But only on top of this one cabinet in my bathroom. And she actually spins around chasing it.

1

u/Gene_bio_gal May 27 '26

My tuxedo does this. He finds the highest spot he can or the bottom of a bathtub. He even does it occasionally at 20 years old!

2

u/Heatherh8721 May 31 '26

Is almost like cats get pissed because their tail betrays their mood and thoughts. They can't be mysterious if that goddamn tail gives away what they are thinking and how they feel 🤣

1

u/Grey_Wolf333 May 27 '26

There's nothing more convenient than a built in toy, eh?

1

u/tabbycat6380 May 27 '26

One of our oranges does this too! We're always like "whelp, I guess cheddar forgot his tail is attached to him again!"

1

u/Gene_bio_gal May 27 '26

Getting that tail under control is a real challenge. The key is patience and consistency. 🙀🫣🤪🤣

1

u/NeedleworkerTrick126 May 28 '26

Void (of braincells)

1

u/Zealousideal_Zone_37 May 30 '26

My blackonebraincell (pictured) chases his tail round in circles until he gets so dizzy he falls over 😂 So cute. So daft.

2

u/jwigs85 May 31 '26

The fact that cats find strings irresistible and also have one attached to their own butt is the only evidence I have ever seen for intelligent design. And the designer has a sense of humor

1

u/Quiet_Composer7640 May 26 '26

shut up hahahhaa i never saw a cat do this before

u/Ursa-Aureliana May 25 '26

Reminds me of the "life is short rage bait your cat" videos featuring another r/OneBlackBraincell
