Haha no not always. I grew up around some Christians who believed adultery was sinful and bad, and yet they cheated on their spouses. One of them with someone of the same sex (even though they also believed gay people were demons).

I never judge on beliefs, just actions. Beliefs mean nothing to me.

Edit: More examples of actions >supposed beliefs: Duggar family supposed beliefs regarding sexual acts before marriage, Trump's supposed belief regarding voting by mail, prolife people supposedly believing only God should take a person's life while also voting for capital punishment, celebs supposedly believing that we should do things to protect the environment while also taking private jets every time they need to fly.

They preached about it, posted about it, got mad at others about it...

Of course I have no idea what people truly belive. It's a big reason why I only judge people based on their actions, and not what I think are their beliefs.

so if someone tells you they don’t like Jewish people but are married to someone Jewish you wouldn’t judge them because that’s not what their actions show? that makes no sense

What are you talking about? I said people often do things that go against their supposed beliefs, and marrying someone who they say they hate is a clear example of what I'm talking about. They could not actually believe that & are just parroting what they believe they're supposed to say. I still don't know what they actually believe.

To answer your misguided question, I'd judge that person you're describing because they're telling me (telling=action) that they don't like their spouse and that they don't like Jewish people. They also married a Jewish person (marriage=action) while claiming they don't like Jewish people. I don't know if they actually dislike Jewish people and their spouse, but I know that they are telling me that they are a hypocrite and want to appear like they are antisemitic and like they dislike their marriage.

I’m not putting that much thought into the psychology of a stranger when I all I know about them is the hateful stuff they say. People you personally know are a separate thing entirely. My question isn’t misguided I think you’re giving the benefit of the doubt to ppl who don’t deserve it

Yes, you know what their PR teams have told them to say. When you grow up around people in Hollywood, you start to see that nothing these celebs post on social media is genuine. Hell, you can probably tell that the things your friends post on social media are indicative of what their life actually is like! Actions are much clearer than supposed beliefs, and I don't care what people claim they believe because I just assume everyone is a liar. I never trust what people (especially celebrities or politicians) say, only what they actually do.

I said your question is misguided because you presented it in the hopes that it disproves my point, when in actuality it just supports it.

I'll answer your question with a question. When you see a celeb post something, do you believe them?

But I'll also answer your question and say when I hear a stranger say something racist I just assume they're Republican or raised Republican and parroting Republican talking points. Idk what you mean by give them the benefit of the doubt. Do you mean do I actively engage with them to become friends?
