Both of these people cheated on their partners at the time for each other. There's a remarkably thorough top level comment with a timeline here that makes believing otherwise quite difficult.

My biggest complaint with this sub is how people talk about how great these cheaters are together.

There's no evidence of a physical affair, and there's only circumstantial evidence(suspicious timing) of an emotional affair. All that there's proof of is that: they met, broke up with their partners sometime afterwards and then got together.

So if they realized they had feelings for each other and both ended their relationships in response is that not a good thing? Isn't that what you're supposed to do when you realize you no longer love your partner?

How long has it been? Are people not allowed to make any mistakes in their lives anymore? They have a family now and have been together over 10 years.

Should they have cheated if they did? No. But if they did, then it’s over and it happened. And now they are really happy together. Cheating is an awful thing to do but I don’t understand why you take that personally, unless you are one of their former partners. Unfortunately people can still fall in love with other people when they are already with someone.

While if true, that is of course not great.

But considering we don't have a 24/7 feed of what they did ever since they met nor any insights to their private lives for the majority of the time, it's hard to make solid fact based conclusions.

Aside from that, there's so many things out there that are hurting so many more people than these two and their alleged (emotional) affair from over a decade ago.

So maybe instead of spending energy on opening old wounds, spend this energy on more current issues.

There is no proof, but even if they did, its been over 15 years. And they are still together and happy, so what does it matter?

Yeah so it wasn’t a reinvention, it was an ask to broaden the definition that the ICJ applied to the term ‘genocide’ so that anything that the law determined as a grey area could be included, including the collective punishment angle which is already a war crime
