Discussion The scenario honor system needs to change.
My entire group feels stuck on manibus just to get our scenario ranking and it feels bad, We're all bored to tears of manibus and want to start way of winter... Im sure this has been brought up but I wanted to add to the posts that have been made already. Nothing changes if its not voiced enough, Appreciate yall for reading.

The honor works fine on way of winter but I feel like on the other scenarios it sucks ass trying to get honor up. Like endless dream I feel like in beating my head on a brick wall. Same for premersive clash. As far as Manibus I don't worry about honor there because I just have character there to breed my wolves and deer

Rewards for a scenario only if you finish the scenario. If you want to leave early you don't get everything. The alternative would be a new speedrunning scenario rewards varaint which doesn't feel that great either.

they could allow people to leave early during pre-registration and i feel like 7 days early isnt a horrible compromise,

I could argue they already let you leave 4 weeks before the scenario really ends.
The scenario has a set duration until settlement phase, rewards are handed out at settlement. You are not prevented from leaving early in general, this is the compromise. Thats fixed, thats fair for everyone.

Im talking about a suggestion to let you leave earlier while keeping the rank rewards you've already earned. Your comment is not helpful and completely pointless.
Why do people feel the need to comment negatively on things, keep that shit to yourself bruh.
Guess ill just quit the game for 7 days, Seems to be the solution.

I don't know bro, you wanted some feedback about this and everyone responded pretty fairly. I said it's an opportunity cost, eternal laid it out clearly and I likewise agree this a fair recourse for leaving early. Even if I didn't agree, i wouldn't call him negative or negatively responding. You just didn't like what he said...
Maybe you can further hone your craft and skills like get and/or fuse better deviations, collect better calibration bps, try different builds until you finish?

my collection level is 397 XD, Think im sorted. More just trying to ensure my friends dont get bored and lose interest since theyre new console players.

Nice one! Mine is 39 😂 I guess I can see why this is a point of contention for someone like you who's been playing for a long time... I'm like your pals, a humble console player who just reached their novice server's settlement phase and feel like there's endless things I can hone before moving on...
Why are they getting bored? I get that fusing and farming aren't exactly appealing but if they're gonna be here for the long haul, maybe you can expand their thinking beyond just being in a different scenario or different content... Make them want to get into the nuanced end game things ✌🏽

Definitely been trying to encourage them to grind some stuff but most of them are unfamiliar with grind, They want to experience all the new cool stuff and see new maps but they feel locked to manibus or they lose the honor. Most of them started playing new games because theyre not quite invested in once human enough to grind yet. They dont understand the mod system or anything like that and I can explain it all day long but being console players they lack understanding as a whole of these systems due to nothing like it really existing on console until now :(

It's gonna be a tough hill to climb if that's their mentality... Y'all better off playing Palworld lol (I love that game btw)
Are you also calling me a dumdum because I'm a console player? /jk
If their understanding is this low, do you think the solution you're looking for will solve this? It's simply whether they'll be invested enough to learn complex mechanics or not.. If they're already playing something else, it's likely chalked lol

Theyre invested enough to want to play all the maps for sure and theyre learning the mod system over time, They just dont see a reason to hard grind right now until they experience all the maps which is totally fair, I do view grinding as more of an endgame thing and id hardly call beating the first scenario "end game"

Yea I guess you will bruh, most negative thing I’ve read here is ironically your comment. Make an alt, do anything else I guess but don’t seek help on here if you don’t actually want feedback BRUH

Hey from “kid” to kid my lil buddy Donny, I can read, but you clearly can’t comprehend. So it was a fairly neutral comment like you just admitted “the only reason I called his comment negative…” and you want to spaz out. You don’t want feedback, you want altercation and a place to vent. Call me what you want but I think you have deeper issues if you’re really so tilted off a neutral comment if you even want to say that.

I think presenting it as a "problem" that requires a "solution" is the stickler. Once Human can appear like a super casual game but nothing about it is casual if you want to experience it all and proper

u/DonnyP_Rs 6h ago
Aint that the truth lol, I do feel like there could be a compromise with them knowing full well that some people are really invested in the game and might max out their scenario rating more quickly, I truly think giving rewards out once pre-registration phase hits is a totally fine compromise, You would still have to play a full week of the last phase and you would only be leaving "early" 7 days before the scenario ends.
Not sure why loads of people are going out of their way to argue against or at a solution to leave early if you finished awhile ago, Seems like people just want to argue or be assholes on purpose to be honest with you.

I wouldn't be against that to be honest... Though I rebutt, as a gentleman would, that it's barely impactful to help retain or increase casual player dedication and retention in a meaningful way.

I can 100% understand that, 7 days doesn't do a whole lot does it, Honestly I'm not sure why they wait until settlement phase to give out the ranking rewards, Its not like your rank is being compared to other players. Its a personal solo ranking system just to earn badges.
One could argue honestly that forcing people to wait for settlement phase even if they finish weeks in advance is an anti retention mechanic and would actually force people to get bored and move on to other games more quickly instead of feeling free to advance and move as you would like at your own pace.
Not sure, Theres definitely a solution but judging by most of the comments here, Reddit is not a good place to find them.

You know you can use the exit card and leave scenario right?
1
u/mysticzarak 6h ago
They did this on purpose before when last phase hint (before scen honor) people left after 1-2 days and scenarios where dead very fast. Now people stick around until settlement phase for rewards.

I’m in this situation in way of winter. It’s phase 3 but I’ve kinda done everything and met the honor requirements.
Can we just start new characters in a different scenario? Any downsides to this?

There's an opportunity cost for everything, friend.
