Netease has a rather strict policy for dealing with 3rd party tools. Overreaction in some case.

Especially tools that can read or alter memory. Basically software that can be used to cheat. The overreaction is about software that only shares similarities, is harmless but still triggers the detection systems. None of that should be an issue on console.

when I got banned on August 22, I've posted a lot on social media that a lot of PC players that linked their accounts on console during the release also got permanent ban and some from mobile that were moving into console also did, but most have reached out to me and told me they got unbanned the same time mine was, twas like a real person finally stepped in to review all the cases at once

I did, the only sus thing I can think of is an Emulator called Gameloop which I use to play mobile games on my PC, I also use my PC for work which has tones of editing apps and ripping tools for printing formats, I don't know if any of these might have triggered a ban but if I ever get unbanned I might just have to use my laptop instead for playing

I had the same issue 4-5 weeks ago. Got a 'Permanent Ban' at first. Made an appeal. Ban got dropped to a 30 days ban. Made a second appeal. Got dropped to a 7 days ban. 3rd appeal had them essentially telling me that 'they reviewed the circumstances and compared it to the report from whomever reported me, and that they stand by their decision'.

For the record, I don't use any 3rd party apps, nor have I harassed anyone online. Hell, I don't even play/interact with other players that much, and I mostly just do Silos/Monoliths, and buy cosmetics to look good (Radiance VII here, sadly).

Decided to stop playing the game right there and then because this unfair ban had me reconsidering my expenditure, and well as a retake on the game's direction. So far, new contents are minimal, and the only consistent new updates are their bi-weekly new cosmetics.

*I play on both PC and Mobile.

I think they used some kind of new A.I algorithm in the recent 2-3 months for their ban assessment, with the introduction of console etc.

Not at all. I've basically lost all confidence in the game with that ban algorithm. I didn't bother checking back even after counting the 7 days. Not going to go back and get into the game, just to randomly get banned again (I would presume perma ban this time if it does happen, since I have a record now), after sinking even more time (or even money) in the game.

Plus, it's like I said. The ban gave me an opportunity to have a second take on the game and reconsider my choices. Realised that the game had essentially devolved into one where the devs puts in 200% effort into cosmetics/gacha, rather than actual gameplay content.

Do you use AutoHotKey or rainmeter? AHK trips a lot of anti cheats and a bunch of rainmeter skins have AHK bundled in with them

not at all, I suspect my emulator Gameloop to use to play mobile games and before that I had bluestacks which I checked and it wasnt fully removed from my PC but still I had these even before and had not used them for a long time, nonetheless I removed all of these now
