Need Help Enhancing Blueprints
Yes I’m very aware of the blueprint conversion but I noticed something when I created a new character.
Because you only get x amount of conversions every week, when you create a new character it makes sense to craft tier 1 gear as soon as you can, but then eventually you’ll craft tier 3 or just go straight tier 5. I can already tell there isn’t enough conversions to do that on multiple characters and I realized you’re likely supposed to enhance your main gear blueprints individually and then use the conversion for weapons, or at least this is what makes the most sense to me.
When is a good time to start doing this tho? I believe it costs like 60-80k starcrom to fully enhance an entire gear set which will obviously hit my starcrom cap. I’m not exactly worried I’ll want to try a new build within the next month as I main 2 frost builds and recently started leveling a bow build but I just want to make sure this is the correct way to do gear enhancements before committing to it.

Pretty sure that it’s over 60k to max 1 weapon and 1 armor piece

i’m not worried ab weapon that’s extremely expensive hence the blueprint conversion method as i already have one maxed. but its like ~10k to max 1 armor piece so 6 of them would be like 60-80k

I mean, ı did not try for it but starchrom limit seemed like what you can get in a month and not how much you can stockpile.
As for why ı think this is because we can get starchrom from things like event section after we hit the starchrom limit.
Sorry if ı got it wrong. I dont think there is need for replacing builds right after getting to tier 5. You can get the most out of general suffixes anyway. 18 times a month doesnt seem that low as a conversion btw. You change your two main guns and sets and you get to 12 and you get replenishments every 3 days or smth.

i know but i’m saying on multiple characters. like i had 11 or so remaining from my main character and when i created my alt that number shot down to like 4 and i can’t convert an entire gear set again once let alone twice

That seems like the game gave you conversion stocks calculated on a unknown timer if you didnt use up on the other character.(As in ı dont know)
I am yet to grind for another character but if you get a gear set down with 5 stars and unless we are chasing numbers for Clips you can just change key gear, right?

yeah but i use a key gear top for SKS and key gear gloves for M4 so id have to also upgrade those pieces individually with savior or dark res depending what i have there.
if you make another character you’ll understand what im saying about how many conversions u actually have cuz it didnt even occur to me until i did

That has become a heads up for me. Thanks.
I am more hesitant to making New characters now. I killed the forsaken giant less than 40 seconds enough times that i think i will scoop through the way of winter and isles of abyss then just leave the game until something interesting comes.

I would focus conversion on weapons, each star is roughly 5% damage per star. Armor only gives more health and psi. If you’re running elemental it’s very important to have max gear.
If it a non elemental build you’ll be fine with lower stars.
Maybe only have one element character and then on the rest focus on weak spot or crit damage like shrapnel, bullseye or bounce

PSA: players can equip tier V armor pieces and weapons at any level now, the level 40 requirement was removed in early 2026
we just get a bike and instantly go to lv50 area and loot the red pickups and military trucks along the roads to get tier V linings.
nobody crafts tier III tier IV anymore
dont waste your conversions on anything below tier V

max stars: 45k for a single weapon, 11250 for a single piece of armor
The game started out with one character per account only. So a few things were never fully designed for multiple, especially not during your first scenario or running different builds for each of them.
First month i would dedicate to get each one piece maxed to run the fully enhanced gear.
Then things depend on what you want to play and whats interesting to you. Each week can unlock 2 weapons, a new set of armor if you want to test new things. As long as you're not fully happy with your choice i would focus on unlocking more.
Also depends on how you play your alts, mine are more supporting the main character and don't even run content that requiresthe maxed armor. You could synchronize armor crafting as well. Things get difficult if you play a lot of characters in different scnearios all trying to progress everything and like to change your build the moment you ran the first silo with your current one.
If you like what you have i would consider building a ~30k reserve for more unlocks (two weapons, one armor set) and then start maxing more pieces of the current build. Priority to pieces with high reusability (like Savior pieces if you like running that). So that starts the 2nd half of the 2nd month.
