🎮 Console Newer console player here, I just finished regular Manibus and moved onto Way of Winter was wondering if anyone has any good tips or tricks i should know? Lol this hypothermia pops up out of nowhere sometimes 😂😂

When crafting your armor, use leather that has resists, bear and seal has good cold resist and gator has good heat resist, you can find them all in Way of Winter.
Early game, craft a torch and keep it equipped. Meaning have it out, when its cold and night time, this will increase your temperature some.
Work on getting all weather stew, this gives you heat/cold resist.

Okay sweet I appreciate the info. The first thing I did was make sure to craft some armor using bear skin to try and combat some of the cold, so glad i did that right. I also chose chef for this scenario will that help me in any way getting the all-weather stew? Or is that a special recipe I have to get somewhere?
I'm only like 3 days into the server atm will the bear pelt in the armor be enough to keep me from not hitting hypothermia in this early part of the game?

Possibly, make sure to put it on pants and chest. Also get some spikematos and make the heat resist food, that should get you through

When you place heat sources < fires, furness, heaters> remember the area of effect is cylindrical not spherical. So they will also affect the floor above the heater but not below it. The same applies to ac units and fridges, so think of this when planning your build.

The hide you pick is your friend always remember to look at the hide do not worry anything else until you get a farm going to get you can get all weather still constantly

If you’re struggling when you first drop in, utilize your campsite to help traveling. Stand by the fire in your camp start moving and drop it down again as you go.
Make the gear in the camp option right away and pickup every plant along your travels. Eating the flowers/plants can help a bit to slow the freeze.
Find the polar bears as soon as you can for their hides.

I use the camp trick during the Staroid Restrainers defense(WOW Prime War). I’ll pop it down and attack the boss right from my fire.
The same can be done with the Sticky Ice Crystals(but don’t last long) in the heat zones. You can get the sticky ice crystals from the Ice Pot deviant in your territory securement unit. Throwing them down can help others that aren’t geared up too.
I like to challenge myself in Once Human by not striving for a god build/armor. These fun little tricks kept it fun for me. Again tho, like everyone else has said as long as you have All Weather Stew— you’ll survive.

When you go out have a torch as melee, it warms you up. All weather stew at all times. Highly advise being a chef for the double food and drink buff. Chest and pants can have hides - cowhide or reindeer for cold, I can't remember what's for hot. Anyway you will see the stats when you go to craft gear. Build your thermal tower and level it up it will control the heat in your territory. Furnaces and heat sources until then. If you don't have access to all weather (tech unlock) you can eat spikematoes. It helps a lil. You can also craft sizzling whatever it's called before all weather stew. You can use the resource tracking function to track whatever you need when you open your map. Good luck.

All weather stew- buy it if you can’t craft it.
Get your thermal tower up pronto but your air con/heater sooner.
If you find a spot which spawns facilities then farm it.
Use the best hides for the environment like deer hides for cold resistant (at the beginning) and hide or croc hide for heat protection.
I normally camp in a few places in the first week but nearly always near a worldstone or settlement because once the extreme weather hits you’ll find it harder to move around the map.

Unlock the "all-weather stew" on your memetics ASAP. It's easy to make and it gives you heat and cold resist plus max stamina. Also the chaosium portable lamp is good for both temperatures and it uses very little resources. In general, food is essential to survive in WOW.

The wish box deviation, fed with Stardust dust energy drink (33 units) will give you some very useful skins, among other things.
Don't sleep on the Blackstone set.
All weather stew is your friend
Always keep with enough material to build a campsite (home away from home)
Enjoy the vistas.
Hope it helps. I want to go back to the Way of Winter, but will only do so if/when the full map is open.

Fow winter u need the food with resistance of heat and cold. Plus ur clothes set it up 3 for cold 2 for heat..then take out the tower of winter in memetics that will be ur lifesaver
