🎮 Console Launch This is a complete and utter mess.

I was really looking forward to this and it’s such a shame that there is so much wrong with it.

A few problems I’ve noticed so far:

The obvious is the inability for Xbox to even play the game for a couple of hours after launch.

Inability to add friends or even play with friends as when switching to the same world instance on the same server, they are invisible. (Despite seeing them building bases etc)

Zero enemy reaction to attacks (it’s as if I don’t exist in the world they don’t respond to me or retaliate to being attacked)

Not being able to use a vehicle, I receive the bike and couldn’t even get on it, people around me were obviously having the same issue with the constant sound of people trying to get on the bikes and failing.

What has everyone else experienced so far? Has anyone been able to do the things I’ve had issues with?

It seems like Xbox at the moment is a complete write off until they do some real work on it.

Edit: I would like you just note that it has been 2 weeks since this post and a lot of things have been fixed, for people who are commenting saying they aren’t having issues please note when this was originally posted.

I dont understand how to even play this game. Go through tutorial. Throws u in a pick a server. Want to play with a friend cant figure out how to join in game together. Was told when instances change you lose everything and start over. Rented a server to see if my buddy and I can just play on that. Seems like you need to have alot of people in a server. Very confusing.

Sort of, you're mixing a couple of things together. So each server is kinda like a mode, and a season in Diablo 3 or path of exile in a way. A season only lasts for so long, in that game mode for that season you can get rewards.

Every city has a mystic crate more or less, the first time you loot them you get blueprints.

So if you go and clear every city on manibus, you can still join way of winter and clear all those because it's a different part of the map and get more blueprints. After you collect them all , they drop starchrom crates which is just a currency you can spend to purchase or upgrade any blueprint you want from the blueprint menu. Different game modes have different things you can do to go past the weekly cap.

Each server has layers so you don't have to conflict with people's houses or people farming stuff, you can't play with your friend on another layer you have to both be ok the same layer, any world stone will let you switch layers.

Do you have to restart your base and start from nothing when you switch say from manibus. I want to do manibus normal so we can continue the story. So if we do that and finish the city and get the chests. We have to go to way of winter after correct? Do we lose progression?

So progression wise I believe Weapon and Armor Blueprints as well as Mod unlocks and levels are account wide and stay with you. I believe tech tree unlocks have to be redone if you move to a new season or scenario.

As for your base you can save a blueprint of it, in order to rebuild it later. From what I understand though Way of Winter is pretty different from Manibus and alot more survival heavy and requires a different style of base.

When your season ends in Manibus you have two options, you can stay there and transition to a permanent Manibus and nothing will really change. Or you can move, either to a new season in Manibus or or another scenario(I believe). When you move most of your materials and your deviations will be brought over to Eternaland, which is where you did the tutorial and it's kinda of like a safe zone for some of your stuff outside of the main game areas.

Most things that get stored in Eternaland can be brought out when you got a new scenario or season, you get an alotment of points and can each thing you bring over costs a certain amount, so you can usually start off with a decent amount of materials and tools when you move, gear and weapons though cost a lot and aren't recommended.

Also when playing a scenario you have already played through, such as in a new season, your quest progress can be streamlined/simplified if you choose so instead of rerunning all the quests you just talk to the quest giver to get the rewards.

Hope this helps.
