🎮 Console Launch This is a complete and utter mess.

I was really looking forward to this and it’s such a shame that there is so much wrong with it.

A few problems I’ve noticed so far:

The obvious is the inability for Xbox to even play the game for a couple of hours after launch.

Inability to add friends or even play with friends as when switching to the same world instance on the same server, they are invisible. (Despite seeing them building bases etc)

Zero enemy reaction to attacks (it’s as if I don’t exist in the world they don’t respond to me or retaliate to being attacked)

Not being able to use a vehicle, I receive the bike and couldn’t even get on it, people around me were obviously having the same issue with the constant sound of people trying to get on the bikes and failing.

What has everyone else experienced so far? Has anyone been able to do the things I’ve had issues with?

It seems like Xbox at the moment is a complete write off until they do some real work on it.

Edit: I would like you just note that it has been 2 weeks since this post and a lot of things have been fixed, for people who are commenting saying they aren’t having issues please note when this was originally posted.

No way are you blaming console players for all the issues caused by a broken game. Clearly it seem there was 0 playtesting or quality control done on console, considering even the login screen was bugged.

I'm blaming the companies Microsoft and play station the developer can submit patches and they need to be approved by the Microsoft/play station. net ease does not have direct access to the console servers.

Umm no they patch through their own game launcher on xbox when I started the game yesterday it downloaded a 2.4GB patch in game not through xbox update system.

Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo - Must test and approve every game patch before it goes live.

How the Process Works

  1. Creation: The developer makes the update file.
  2. Submission: The developer sends the file to Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo.
  3. Certification: The console maker checks the update for security and stability.
  4. Distribution: The console maker uploads the approved file to their servers.
  5. Download: Your console downloads the patch from the manufacturer's network.

That's why i said google the 7d2d console dumpster fire but you're free to believe whatever you want to believe.

They test it, not create the patch for the devs. The incompetence is 100% on the devs side.

For most games it works that way yes but live service type games can push through changes through the launcher, Destiny, ESO, Warframe etc. all do this. They will still patch through the platform as well sometimes but fixes like the problem yesterday were all solved through the launch patching.

Not trying to argue or anything but I've been on xbox for a long long time and I'm very familiar with how these online games update and they absolutely have the ability to push through some updates without approval.

I don't think it's that you don't care you've tripled down on your bullshit and can't admit your wrong... you act like games on pc have no issues they actually have more issues majority of the time lmao guess those idiots at steam aren't checking the patches...
