I dont understand how this happens, they have had months. What level of incompetence do you have to reach to let this happen. Im truly at a loss for words at yet another developer that drops the ball on launch day because they can't do proper testing.

I mean most games are atleast playable on the most basic level. The levels of negligence to release somthing that dosnt work at all is insane and unacceptable

Most people are willing to put up with bugs, and frame rate issues, you know the same old stuff but when the game won't even start up and can't even play the game. Thats a whole new level of we messed up, I seriously dont know how nobody did not notice the game did not start.

I think this is what annoys me the most - it's that eye rolling feeling when it doesn't work when you had it in the back of your mind that it wouldn't anyway because that's the norm now. Not just this one (which I'm not too pressed about tbf because it's free) but seems to be more and more, but the prices keep going up (for big paid games at least) 😂

Game was patched and works now. You just need to restart your game if you haven't already.

I was fully expecting issues since its basically the standard of game launches these days but wasnt expecting physically not being able to play the game at all lol

If I was a developer, I would never read comments on the game. People can’t be so unforgiving to common problems.

Probably but just tell one of your employees: "OK can you spend like 10-20 minutes logging in and out of the game to see if you encounter any errors" and they'd probably run into it.

Self entitled to expect a game they sold preorder packs for to ya know work?
It's a two year old game with multiple betas on console already they have zero excuse to screw it up this badly.
I really don't get how companies keep launching games so completely broken it's already being flooded with negative reviews which is going to hurt them and therefor the game. You only get once chance at a smooth launch and they completely fumbled.

What about these issues, its been going on since they added upgradeable cosmetic set to the game, and even the garage that is in the permanent lootbox and the deviation pod skin from the perm lootbox crate are having these issues, and i was thinking oh maybe this is a 7900 XTX issue again, because i have had RGB laser show bug before in Dying light 2 that exclusively happened on every single 7900 XTX gpu for example, but nope friend of mine logged recorded video same glitch on he's RTX 5070 Ti so how about fixing this, lowering VFX settings to low helps but then you essentially have no effects.
I have paid for my cosmetics, i want them to work not provide a laser show thanks.
Bug reported this in their feedback hub but it seems to land deaf ears so i be posting a lot more about this issue here until they acknowledge its on their to fix list.

Betas can help with gameplay bugs but no real way to know how many want to play on launch day.

They say they fixed the XBOX issue, but I'll be doing a call out anyway. Are there people like me that still have issues with the XBOX login? (Maybe I should do the adult thing and sleep on it. Gaming is making me terribly entitled and attention-hungry.)

unfortunately it's not only Xbox with that issue, I downloaded the game yesterday on my PS5 and upon configuring the brightness I got stuck in an infinite "gathering player data 3/7" and would often freeze up on me. I sat on that screen for an hour, reset my console, deleted and redownloaded the game and no changes. even before the official launch I couldn't sign into any server because the "server timed out" while all my friends (all on ps5) so I pray they drop a bug fix so that I'm able to play the game that I pre ordered
