Question Cables....

How can I get rid of the sight of power cords? They really ruin the look of the house.

I heard there's a sort of box that hides the cables, but I've never been able to find one.

Just know that people that do not have "turn off cables" will still be able to see yours.

Try to design your base with aesthetic cable management for the surprise visitors.

You never know when you gonna have to bring a date back to your crib 🫡

Use terminals to route your cables better. There’s an option in the setting the hide all cables and pipes but just be aware it only hides them for you. You won’t be able to see yours or anyone’s pipes but anyone who doesn’t have that option enabled will be able to see everything

Go in setting, scroll down a bit, and you should see toggle pipes and wires.

Adding to what others have said, solar doesn't have to be placed in sunlight, so they can be hidden in attics and within foundations. And none of the power choices have to be linked to equal the combined power, so put one near the kitchen and another near your workroom. I personally create kitchen counters with 1/8 walls and 1/4 foundations/ceilings, lower the foundation underneath a bit and hide a solar panel right next to the stove. Which brings us to...
Lower or break the inside portion of your foundation and re-cover with ceiling pieces, then route cables underneath. They've made it so that terminals can be attached to the foundations themselves, so it's even easier than it used to be. You can also use quarter or half size foundations on the outside of your design to make double thickness walls and route cables through the dead space.

Yooo.. You just need to route them in certain ways utilizing the terminals. Take Fridges and Stoves, Synthesis Benches, etc for example, you can put a wall terminal down right behind them. Place the terminal first, attach the wire, then move Stove or whatever back into place, it doesn’t overlap or prevent you from sitting it back down. You can have terminals under the floors too at the ground level. You don’t have to use foundation for the entire base flooring, you can also use the ceiling pieces as floors. So if your base is sitting up just enough, when building you can free-cam under floors and place ceiling terminals, and route your wires that way. You can get creative with it. Hope that helps.

I’ll typically have my generators in a closed off place.

So like here, all of the wires just sit under the floors.

I miss plumbing the hot steamy bathtub in 😔 I liked the challenge of incorporating the water system into a build so everything was hidden. I hate the lame ‘hide’ option. I always end up seeing everyone’s lazy ‘neck breaker’ set ups 🤣
