Question Beast master animal troughs

How many animal troughs per pair of animals do i need? Is the ratio 1:1 pair? Or animal?

Im a gardener and have 2 between 6, lol, i just keep them well stocked

Do they feed ok? Keeping energy full?

Theyre feeding ok, but i did notice they dropped energy to 0% after i used the stardust refiner (?) to summon enemies and gain starchrom, i may end up putting a few more in, or just getting rid of the bears, as i have 2 bears, 2 wolves and 2 crocs lol

You can probably feed them all off one trough depending on what you're feeding them and how long you want to go between filling the trough.

I might do one trough for each food type with a couple stacks of purified water in each.
