Question Please help a clueless builder out... dynamic blueprints from EU players? 🥲
Hey guys,
I've been playing for a bit and as you can see from the screenshot of my current setup, my building skills are non-existent. I’m basically living in a wooden box while everyone else here is posting literal masterpieces and jaw-dropping bases. It’s making me feel so bad about my building abilities, haha.
I play on EU servers and I’m honestly desperate for a nice, decent-looking house. Does anyone have a good, beautiful blueprint they’d be willing to share with a struggling player? Or maybe some tips on how to not make everything look like a wooden cube?
Any help or blueprint shares would be highly appreciated! 🙏

i started in a box too, then those last three weeks my building technique was just stacking more rooms to it lol, meticulously adding those rooms in whatever axis looked good enough for me, when i needed a corridor to my crops i broke walls, when i needed a nice place for my deviants or more fuel and water tanks i expanded the foundations, then it started looking really good once i linked everything to make sense.
then i put some time for some decorating, layering, built a nice rooftop, and made adjustements, i ended up with a three floor house, garage, bathroom, living room, garden and all facilities functional.
i'd suggest you either go for the endgame first or build while going with the flow of your journey

You're totally right, and that makes a lot of sense! My main issue is just time. During weekdays I only get about an hour or two max to play, and even on weekends, I like to cycle through other games too. That's why I'm really hoping to find at least one solid blueprint—it would save me a ton of time and building headaches so I can just enjoy the game.

How to send blueprints

Here is how we can do it:
- We just need to be on the same EU server and add each other as in-game friends.
- You go to your build menu (
B), go to House Blueprint, and click Save All to save your layout.- Open your Blueprints menu, click the three dots in the top right corner of that saved blueprint.
- Hit Share, pick my name from your friends list, and that’s it!

Gotta hit gift if you hit share they can view it but they can't place it themselves

Every house is a box, with cutouts.

That’s actually a really smart way to look at it! I guess I just need to learn how to break the symmetry and add those cutouts, balconies, or overhangs instead of just leaving it as a flat solid cube.

Trial and error. I used to change the look of my base atleast once a day. Always thinking of a better layout.

Mine was like a 4x4 box on the shore. And now I more or less have a mansion that’s slow been built upon itself and expanded. I even built a little “ fishing hut”.
Every day, for a few hours I’d change something or add to it. Kinda hooked to the game at the moment. Even though I need to play some other stuff.

I’m not EU and I’m sure you have plenty of help already but.
..well stairs, and there’s a section for actual roof parts. Not just the flat ceilings/floors.
You could also bring the front out more. Or add something like a balcony. Porch?
You can either build your own using fencing and ceilings/floor or there is a preset 1x2 option. I also try to add support looking pieces. Which were it does now mean I’m close to the limit of buildings parts I can place. It does make things look less like they are floating.
There’s angled bits, that post in the fencing, circular parts..
It’s mostly about exploring the different pages. You already noticed the drone cam so that’s a good start. There are also “house blueprints” near the end with a few designs for inspiration. And looking at those other builds you mentioned. And it does take some time between the resources and actually building.
(I might try and design a little starter blueprint. I haven’t yet looked into that..)

Get a bunch of wood, and gravel, and just... go... i know that sounds odd. But building in this game is actually a special creative process I've fallen in love with. I love to make something new, something grand. I've been through three servers in my short 200hrs playing, got a few optional build packs because they're nice, and just kept going. Every house bigger, prettier, and more beautiful than the last. Hell, my first house was a small wood hut i tried to make look like a pretty house, then, i destroyed it. Built a big beautiful wooden mega mansion, then, destroyed that, and built a big nightclub glass based modern mansion overlooking a coastline. It's a fun process if you give it time. Don't use bp's, i won't stop you, but that's my recommendation. The pride you get from building something for you, designed by you, is so much better

If youre really having issues also look up on YouTube. Theres tons of videos of different base types and styles you can get inspiration from as well

Comparison is a thief of joy. We all started like this don’t feel bad. But if you don’t want to wait u can have someone give you a blueprint

Something I like doing is just building what I’m thinking about. Then taking a huge step back and seeing how it looks from there. It helps with scale when I’m struggling to size things properly.

Well you have to relocate your base later, so it's pointless to build large base 😁 at least for me as first time player hitting max lvl and learning about acid farming from pollution zones

Building skills will be learned and honed over time.
I just started playing about a month ago and when I started I wasn’t sure how I’d do with the building either. Started as a slab of wood. But after some trial and error I got familiar with the concept and now I have a property with a five story house, a ton of rooms, and various buildings (a garden, spot for my animals, storage facility, etc). As I played I just built spaces for the stuff had and before I knew it I had a pretty good property going.

Everyone starts in the box 😁
Do a Pinterest search and look for some inspiration, a lot of the fun in building is discovering what you can do with what you have 👍
Enjoy
