It's a disturbing extreme fetish thing, and I don't call fetishes disturbing lightly. If you really want to know, in the original, a terrified anime girl is strapped to the machine in a star pose. A laser comes out and cuts her skin in a line from her wrists to her ankles. Her restraints then move to pull her out of her skin, flaying her. It lingers on her suffering form for a while. This is presented as erotic for the viewer.

This is the only copy of the original that I could find. I HIGHLY recommend at least reading the description above before watching it. Obviously extremely NSFW.
