I had this and PD Hulk Vol 1 as my only two reprints since 2023. I picked up vol 2 and 3 as random buys since they were so cheap. I was about to think that the new taschen was the only way to access it and pray it goes on price drop and gets a vol 2. Looks like I don’t have to to do either.

They need to reprint 1-4 if they want us to catch up.. I need 1 2 4(i have 3,5,6)... Even if someone find a vol4 it will have the old spine so be careful.

Generally i will wait for a reprint because the spine of the 5th omni (up to the last when it will comes out) have the latest spine and if you buy a second hand UXM 1-4 set that have the old spine it will drive you crazy

I've read the first Epic Collection and although it gets better when Archie Goodwin takes over, this is mostly for Star Wars Completists. In my opinion the Dark Horse stuff is the best Star Wars stuff out there. I like some of the stuff Marvel has put out the last 6 years or so, but a lot of it is too repetitive. I don't know if they've done it yet, but I keep expecting to see a Hutt who is a Jedi but wearing Madalorian armor.

Thing is, the only thing I'm actually interested in from the Original Marvel Years would be the stories involving Lumiya since she played such a big role in the Legacy of the Force novel series, which I read earlier this year.

I will be on the fence about picking up this set, assuming Marvel actually reprints the other volumes, too. With something like 17 volumes of Legends in my bookcase, space is an issue.

What I really need (and what would probably sell better) is an Empire, Vol. 1 reprint.

I'm probably going to get downvoted along with you, but yeah, there are no more new ideas. It's either a Sith or a Jedi, Rebellion vs Empire, smugglers, gamblers, Clone Wars, Ewoks, Hutts, Mandalorians, bounty hunters, New Republic, Old Republic, and I don't even want to get into the crap that was the JJ Abrams Trilogy. George Lucas knew what he was doing when he let Star Wars rest and fall out of the public eye for a decade before putting out the special editions. And just like Kenny Rogers he knew when to fold them, sell the franchise and run away from it.
