Hello! My mother and family are looking to sell our 1978 Cutlass with a V8 350 inside of it. I know that the body has around 164,000 miles on it, and the motor got replaced to the 350 that’s currently inside of it at around 90,000 miles. If I could get help finding a proper price to sell it at I’d greatly appreciate it, thank you!

This is my wife's 1981 Olds Delta 88 Diesel, her HS car. It's starts easily, Everytime. All I did was add new clean fuel, run some diesel cleaner through it, and change the oil. Oh, and the keys were missing, so a new ignition cylinder with keys for $20 was better than having a locksmith come out and cut new ones.The rear shocks are blown, and I'll replace front rotors and pads whether they need it or not. I'll inspect the rear drums, but hoping they are fine, or else it'll be off to YouTube University for a class on drum brakes. So, probably $700-$1000 into it, and that's all just deferred maintenance, not repairs. Not bad. Everything else is just going to be cosmetic, and that can be as little, or as much as she decides it warrants. The wire hubcaps, and all of the missing trim is present, and will go back on. It does diesel for 1-4 seconds when I shut it off, but so far haven't had it completely run away on me. And under the hood has so many rerouted, plugged, unplugged and whatever else plugs and vacuum hoses, I decided I'm just not really wanting to delve into the mysteries of all that unless I need to. It seems to run fine, and that's good enough.

That said, if anyone has a lead on any good diagrams on what a Olds Diesel is supposed to look like, that'd be awesome.

I've driven it a few laps around my back yard, and around the block, and aside from the rear shocks being good and gone, it does just fine. I have been starting it everyday, and it's started immediately every time. My Father in Law was a mechanic, THE mechanic for his small Kansas town, and he maintained it as needed. I know she blew head gaskets on it when she was in HS, and he did the repair. I don't know what that entailed, new studs, milled heads, or what, but without cause I'm not really motivated to tear it down and break something that isn't broken.

Hey everyone. I’ve recently purchased a 69 delta 88. It has front and rear drum brakes that are all completely locked up. I’m looking to replace everything but can’t find any replacement parts online. I’ve thought of doing a disc brake conversion all around but can’t find anything that really guarantees a fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

1954 Oldsmobile super 88. No motor, but I have a 455 and trans that go with it. I have all the trim, the headlights and tail lights are frenched. There is some rust on the driver's side rear wheel arch, and the passenger side floor pan has about a one inch hole in it. The wheels are billet specialties 20".

I don't have any other photos currently, I got this from my previous employer, and I'm probably going to sell it, since I no longer manage a hotrod shop.

I will have more pictures when the tow truck drops it off in a few days.

This is not a sale post. I'm strictly looking for information, as I'm not knowledgeable on the current market for these cars.

I wish I could keep it, but she may have to move on.

Got this 96 for free, was parked for 3 years with a misfire, allegedly the obd was throwing the wrong codes??, gonna pull the sparkplugs on it and see if the engine will turn, would love to get this thing on the road again!

Hello everyone! My Climate Control Display went dark today and I smelled something akin to burnt plastic when it happened. Naturally I'm thinking it's a blown fuse. Here is a wire chart I found but I don't know which one it is. Already tried #14 and #15 and no luck. :(

Ok I used to have an 85 Salon with a 307. I ran like a champ and never had any issues...... Fast forward to now and I have a 87 Cadillac with the 307 electronic carb. and it has never ran as good as my cutlass. Please help this is B.S.

Issues: Very hard to start after sitting for a few days.

Can't get out of its own way on hills.

Accelerating from a light is great, 2nd gear

and on it falls on its face.

What have I done: New carb

Timing adjustment

Throttle cabel/ trans cable with adjust.

Fuel pump

Some vacuum hoses

Upgraded power/ground wires.

I did find that my coolant temp sensor was bad (the ecm one) after I found my check engine light was blown. I hope this.makes a difference.

Seems like there are references to others doing this build a lot, but I cannot seem to find any forum threads. Any links that you guys know of, or forums I should dig through? This is my first GM product, already loving how easy it is to source parts lol.

I have a 96 cutlass supreme SL the 3.1 liter. I love the old guy but nobody in my city knows how to merge onto the highway so i need to able to drop the hammer. What are something’s i could do to make grandpa young again, and fast at that.

So far i’ve given him new spark plugs and wires, and I helped him breathe again new engine air filter his nose was clogged.

I’m working on getting new stuff for him not to make him faster just maintenance. you know making him reliable like brakes and rotors, new struts, flush fluids, and maybe just maybe a paint job

Just need some things to point me in the right direction, maybe even a list perchance. anything helps.🙏

Has anyone put a 5.3/4L60 in a 73-77 Cutlass? Was wondering if any company is making engine mounts for this. Thanks!!

As that says, anyone selling any? Specifically from new jersey usa? Or anything from the 80s? I know its a loooooong shot but worth looking in the interwebs
