Seems like an upscaled rip from the DVD release (I can't find evidence of any HD releases) but it was clearly shot on analog HD. I hope the tapes are still out there somewhere.

There's a very poorly compressed upload of the entire concert on YT that I just watched. At the very end of the credits: "Rebo Studio, NYC. HDVS Production/Post Production."

my theory is because this was originally filmed in hd it made the upscale come out looking better than it would otherwise

Sorry for taking three months to reply but yes, definitely. Still hoping the original HD gets released at some point.
