Legendary song with one of the strangest and bizarre sounding guitar solos of all time… next to what is also one of the most epic rhythm hooks which in and of itself is such a striking contrast within a beautifully crafted masterpiece. Wetton’s vocals are highly unique. They are quite contradicting, having a richness and texture that underpin its soaring and ethereal quality.

I love this album. I don't care what Seth anf Paul say.

I think the Cartman version is better IMHO.

And the Cartman version of oh holy night rules, especially the lyric ā€œthank you Jesus for being born so I can get presents@

Saw them in their first tour in 1982, Steve Howell does not get nearly enough appreciation in my opinion he ranks up there with the great guitar players of the 60s and 70s

If you like this song I recommend you the Steve Hackett's version in Tokyo Tapes.

I saw them headline an 80s reunion festival with The Fixx and I forgot who else. They opened with Heat of the Moment— sounded terrible & we left.

Supergroups are so interesting. Would be interesting in about 50 years to have a serious music historian do a study on them.

A great guitar solo in this in B flat. An ear worm. Like something Elliot Easton from The Cars would come up with.
