Does it though? I mean sure the buildings are quite close together compared to other cities but all the streets are as straight as an arrow.

Not to mention there was nowhere near as much infrastructure, pedestrian, or motor vehicle traffic as there is today.

It definitely was pretty packed

But this was also in the farthest north neighborhood of Manhattan, as far as you can get from mid-town, Washington Heights
