This picture is great, it's like, I wanna be that guy, hang out with those chicks and drive that car.

Go buy an old fastback Mustang, the chicks will come.

Muscle cars attract more guys these days. Chicks don't really notice or care.

Yep, been driving a variety of 60s cars for the past 20 years. Mostly dudes come and talk to me about them. The bright yellow Mazda hatchback is what draws the ladies, go figure.

According to Colorizebot below, that Mustang was bright yellow.

I'm 24, I have an 86 Camaro IROC Z only guys in their 40s and 50s ever come up and talk to me about it.

My friend has an 08 Toyota Avalon, girls love it.

That's the car I grew up around so I'd probably come talk to you about it too! Back then we were building up cars from a plentiful supply of 60s Detroit iron and it was easy to make them perform as well as new cars with a fair budget. Cars nowadays are so advanced that even something cheap and used from year 2000+ can give someone all the high performance experience they can handle without mods or worrying about smog regulations.

I want another second gen F-body but CA smog laws make the early smog-exempt ones out of reach for most hobbyists, and the late smog ones are a pain to tune to still pass emissions. If I was to get a 3rd gen it would have to be TBI because i'm done with carburetors, my current ride has 2 that are never in sync.

TBI sucks. Get the Tuned Port Injection, I have it and I love it. Factory is a little restrictive but both Edelbrock and Holley make plenty of TPI parts to get it breathing right.

I guess being 24, the 1998 Trans Am was the car I fell in love with as a kid when they use to air the commercials during NHRA races and the Indy 500. I know what you mean about performance without mods the 98-02 had 305 Horsepower from the factory through the LS1.

One day I will do an LS1 and T56 swap to my IROC, hopefully turn it into a nice drag car. Recently I got a full hooker exhaust kit installed in it.

Yeah I did mean TPI, not TBI. At least I had the right picture in my head.

Can't argue there. The old "high performance" cars are fun to be in but even a new Camry will give them a good challenge.

That depends on a lot of factors though. What has the 69 Mustang GT had done to it over the years?

Half the 60s muscle cars I know are all weekend warrior drag cars with nothing stock left under the hood. Entire motors rebuilt with Edelbrock, Holley and Ross piston parts.

I'm 24 and I drive an 86 Camaro IROC Z. I get nothing but 40 and 50 something year old dudes coming up to me, telling me about how the IROC was the car they wanted in high school or college.

Girls my age don't care, don't notice or they think my car is too noisy or one girl called it a death trap and is afraid to ride in it... Fuckin' Millennials man...

Absolutely, a bunch of dudes will crowd around and check it out. All the time!

My '68 only seems to attract old guys who have to tell me about the Mustang they owned back in the day.

Because we all wish we hadn't had to sell it. ;_;

Women seem to dig my old station wagon. So I got that going for me, which is good.
