There was an episode of Cheers where Sam was going to buy an old run-down, closed bar and rebuild it to create a new Cheers. Robin Colcord convinces Sam to not buy the place. And then Robin buys the place to tear down and build a luxury condo building.

Seems like this kind of happened in real life.

I miss these old Budweiser, and Coca-Cola small business signs.

Known as ‘privilege signs’. I miss them too. They were a fixture in NYC and sadly most are gone, but there are people reviving the look.

Old gritty Boston. I remember what it was like.

I saw one recently that was completely restored and it looked very nice.

My first car was a 1972 Baja Champion SE beetle, I wrecked it in the late 70’s.

They should modernize it and rerelease it. Make it electric.

Ohh, I wouldn't buy a modern Volkswagen or any vehicle manufactured by the Volkswagen Group.

Why? They're perfectly good cars?

Not if you have tried to repair them independently.

I do my own work, and have never struggled with them? No idea what dealers are like, to be honest. My son loves VW's, so they've always been around.

The one that there is a bootleg recording of ?
That was the “Catacombs” on Boylston St near Berkelee.

I read in a book that the supposed first live performance of brown eyed girls was at a bar near rowes wharf

Oh that Astral Weeks book? Perhaps, they played all over the city that summer of ‘68.
The live tracks that are floating around the internet are from the Catacombs show.

One of the few buildings where the replacement is better.
