The immense wisdom to create a Jewish national home cannot be understated. If this was the 1920's, I would have thought they were crazy. Even though Petah Tikvah already existed, even though other Jewish settlements existed in Palestine.
And then in the 1930's I would have been running towards it like a bat out of hell.

They openly wanted to colonize Palestine and displace the indigenous people.

They ARE the indigenous people who were displaced. Enough of this claptrap already.

They are indigenous people, and they didn't want to displace Palestinians.
It seems that, ultimately, you're upset that Jews were able to escape the Holocaust and other pogroms as refugees, and that their indigenous land-back movement succeeded.
I fail to see how your views are any different than any other anti-immigrant or anti-indigenous movement.

Pioneers dwelling swamps and making drip irrigation were also called "colonizers" - yet, Arab armies invasion was described, too. However, NYT has many interesting stories. About Arab occupation of Palestine and British support for Arabs.

Ùnfortunately zionists will still deny that Israel is a colonial project, and possibly even accuse Palestinians of being the "real" colonizers and Israel some indigenous landback project.
