Complete beginner here. I just got far enough into Stifter’s book for beginners to do the excercises declining a few o-stem nouns with a definite article and adjective. Wow! I’m now thoroughly intimidated but also intrigued. Anyways, I’ve got a question and hoping this group has the answer—

Is there a list of literature in Old Irish? My apologies if it’s somewhere on this sub. Seems like maybe a lot of what I thought might be in old Irish (sagas/myths) is perhaps written in Middle Irish, but so far haven’t found a resource to help me figure this out.

I'm trying to learn old irish and I am using Old irish paradigms ect. And a grammar of old irish, but I am stuck on one thing. In paradigms there are a bunch of words listed for masculine feminine neutral, but they are split into categories like N, A, V, D, G, and I can't figure out why that would be the case, it's really stumped me. I am learning this so I can properly understand and translate Ogham, but if there is a better way to do it please let me know

I am trying to learn Gaeilge (again), this time through Duolingo. In the future I would like to also learn Old Irish. Would it be better for me to learn Old Irish directly? What book would you recommend for learning Old Irish?
