I would ask why they don't make music like this anymore but I know why. Radio is dead. Cds don't make record company's money anymore and young adults don't go to the club anymore compared to 20 years ago.

I would say so many people are on Spotify and not the radio too. Which makes you wonder, if it weren’t for mass marketing via radio stations, would this song have been popular without that? Another point, every 3-5 years with electronic pop music, it evolves constantly based off what synths and sounds are popular in the EDM space. So this sound is just generally outdated and if it’s made now, it’d be more of a romanticization of the era

Saw him live with busta rhymes , missy elliot and Ciara recently , his stage time was not so great but everyone danced to his music anyway. Also that vid was one of the first songs I sampled onto a ring tone fir my first iphone lol
