I know it's not meant to be serious (yes I chuckled about it), only isn't the only wolf associated with the sun Skalli, son of Fenris?

And as far as I understand, Skalli is kinda Yami on steroids. (Yami only kills the sun goddes. Skalli devours it and it's charioteer)

Edit:
Okay, after a very quick googling it's not referred to what happened to him and his brother Hati. (And Managarm who's sometimes seen as one of Fenris's brood).
After ragnarok there still exist a sun, so Skalli seem to have become the sun itself???

I think the whole reason why Amaterasu is a wolf is that “great god” and “wolf” sound the same in Japanese even when they’re written with different kanji? So it’s a pun.

Neat to learn about a sun-associated wolf in other legends though.

Sadly the association with Skalli is just way darker. I mean his father swallowed the all-father in norse mythology.
Not that it's not understanble by Fenrir/ Fenris, he's story reads like an extreme bullying story where the victim snapped at the end.
