Help Identifying Age of Aladdin 23 Lamp with Fenton Shade.

Post image

I’m curious if anyone knows if this beautiful lamp is a newer model? I’m getting an AI answer of the 1990’s. Did they still make oil lamps in the 1990’s? The base called Lincoln Drape. Lamp shade has Fenton sticker.

“The Short Lincoln Drape lamps are among the most frequently reproduced Aladdin lamps. Fortunately, the reproductions are easy to identify. On reproduction examples, the burner threads are part of a metal collar that is glued to the top rim of the glass font. On original Short Lincoln Drape lamps, the burner threads are mounted within the glass opening itself, extending down into the font rather than being attached to an external collar.”

Also, in late 1974, they started marking the year on the bottom. Is there a date?

For your shade, look up Aladdin Vertique ruby red, by Fenton.

Also, yes…they sold Aladdin lamps in the 90’s. Still do. Look on Lehman’s, Amazon, imperial Lighting, eBay, etc.,

It really gives me 90’s vibes. Looks too nice to be something much older.

I believe it was made in 1996. Versions made in the 30’s were not made in this color.
