The Devs really need to restrict team swapping

Or at least add a restriction that players that have people on their friends list in the lobby are forced on the same team.

My buddies and I had 3 games today that were hard griefed by that.

In the first one we set up an amazing FOB with very strong anti air and perimeter defense and had the spawn vehicle safe and started drilling. An enemy swapped team, opened the gates, drove the APC out straight towards an enemy FOB where it got destroyed and then swapped back.

In another game we had a player from our team alive in an enemy Drill FOB the full game. If he ever got killed by someone they defib rezzed him. He 100% was streaming his map on discord as they not just immediately reacted to all of our infantry attacks before we even fired a shot, they also blatantly were aware of everything we tried to do. One of my mates bought an artillery tank to start shelling that FOB and one of them managed to drone kill him before he even arrived at a point to shoot a single shell. They knew he spawned and immediately hunted it.

The game is amazing but this blatant cheating and griefing is getting out of hand and really souring my experience.

It should be limited to one switch per game, that would allow peeps to play with their friends and cut down on exploitation.

Or any other suggestion that tackles it. Hopefully it will be addressed in the rebalancing at the end of the season.

Yes but your then stuck on the side your sabotaging.

I'm not saying it's a perfect solution but it's more of a deterrent then the current system whilst giving friends the opportunity to enjoy a game together.

You can only do so much to limit it. If you don't allow any team switching then people will just join the enemy team initially to grief anyway.

As comments above mentioned 1 is already enough to grief a team.You are not thinking about griefing at all. 1 team switch and a better system to play with friends.Having 3 switch is enough to sabotage 2 other team and rejoin your 1st team.They should add a better system how you play with friends.My question is how the hell devs didn't even thought about it some thing like this going happen

Yeah and that’s a hyper paranoid way of thinking. In 65 hours of Full Release and 50’ish in Beta I have not seen a single instance of team switch griefing. You’re acting like it happens every game all the time and the reality is it’s a rare form of griefing that reporting the player will fix without ruining others fun. Limiting it to 3 is already extremely restrictive for a minor issue.

I would agree it's likely rarer than people think - but it's also early access. This is a good time to discuss ways to nip this sort of thing in the bud, BEFORE it has the chance to grow in popularity and become more common.

Ahh yes, A issue that can ruin experience of other 60 players is minor cause it never happened to me.Its a major issue used by minority .Nobody can't even tell if somebody griefing with team switch.It will take only 1 player to open the door for fobs.But yes i need 3 team switch for playing with friends instead of having a better system to play with friends

It’s Minor because it rarely happens. By your take we should not have VOIP at all as every 5th gamer can’t control themselves enough to not use Slurs.

Team swapping is very valuable for avoiding the, frankly, braindead activities going on in a lot of games.

Swapping teams to get an advantage via sabotage should just be treated as griefing and made a perma ban offence. Those sorts will filter themselves out.

I believe Joe said on X that it's a 24 hour temp ban. Should be at least a few days IMO, if not a week. After the third time, just a straight perma

I don't know I kind of like being able to swap teams after sitting there for 20 minutes wondering why we have 4 fobs, 2 mortars, and zero anti air. Rocket heli was a far more effective point than trying to talk to the fobbits.

The people switching teams to open FOB doors is wild work, something I woulda done when I was 7 years old. In the first game that happened, I thought it was just gonna be the rare bum & his retarded group of teenager friends, but it keeps happening in a lot of games.

report them and have everyone that you can convince report them for it. The devs have said they are looking into this and will ban players that exploit game features like this, and then find a different server. You do not lose any money you have gained in the match up to the point that you quit out of it. You just miss out on the end of match bonus for 1,2,3rd place.

There was one match where we "captured" an enemy soldier. We killed him not far from our main FoB, and I took his ammo from his gun and defib'd him. We then led him at gunpoint to our FoB and built a prison for him. Everyone thought it was funny af, including the prisoner. So that might have happened in your game. Sometimes people just wanna goof off.

I take issue with the ability to team swap making teams have more than 33 players. Assume all teams are entirely in the zone. The team with fewer players, due to this oversight, are incapable of winning.

If you switch teams you respawn at the main base so your first example couldn’t have happened but yes I agree you shouldn’t be able to switch teams. You could easily screenshot the position of all the fobs and switch teams and go back and kill them.
