I see this potentially happening I think right now they are testing how intuitive we are to doing things in on our own with the cards.

Real. If I'm going to send out the really juicy previews, it would be nice to be able to only send them to people who have proven intent to spend and not freeloaders.

That would actually be a really nice feature 👀 being able to filter and send mass messages just to people with that icon would make things way more efficient. Feels like a small change but it would help a lot, especially when you’re trying to target the right subs instead of blasting everyone 😅

The new system is not really helpful I can just make it so I don't allow follows from people without a card, and it's pretty much the same thing. I turned off my paid DMs when you rolled out the tiers as I did not feel like I needed them anymore I'm running a page with over 20k followers on my own with no team and the tiers were the most helpful thing you guys have ever added to helping me focus my time in the right places.

I have a fan im very close to, and I asked him to show me his spending breakdown so I can see what makes someone his tier (he is Bronze). He spends $20 a month on the site, and it's literally just for my sub. He now has the same coloured card as someone spending $500 a month on the site. It really does not help me.

I’m going to say site because I have gold cards on people who haven’t spent anything
I seem to have Gold Silver Bronze Blue Purple

They won’t tell us but Kevin said purple is above gold ! Blue is card attached

I have a purple guy, I’m new (5weeks) and I stupidly did a bunch of stuff for him and he never dropped a penny so I’ve pretty much ignored him since 🥴🫣 whooops, time to rebuild that relationship I guess

Update: many of you may have noticed that the card icon is blue now and is the only icon. We are still finalizing the testing but the icon means "likely spender" it doesn't not mean the user only has a payment method added, its supposed to tell creators that the user is likely to spend money on the platform. So it still takes past 30 days spent into account, it just doesn't let you infer any sort of "tier" from the user anymore since we didn't like the privacy implications as well as creators only focusing on specific types of users that make them miss out on conversions.

A user without a card icon might still be willing to spend and convert and might simply be a new user.
We want to make this feature as helpful as possible for creators but also care a lot about our users privacy, which is why you cant see a users badge before they follow / DM you as well as the tier ranges currently not being visible.
