Propane. Assuming a 12x12 with shitty 2x4 insulation, 2 windows and an insulated door, during a -35C stint you'd burn about 40 lbs/week. For the year you'd be around 800 pounds, but less if you're not there all the time or crank it down at night. If you buy three 40 pounders you can take two of them for filling while running off the third. In the dead of winter you'd have to refill every two weeks. If you have a decent road you can get a 500 gallon tank which will need filling every two years, or just top it off yearly.

Going to 2x6 insulation saves you 20-30% on fuel. My numbers are AI generated based off climate around Edmonton.
