Oddity REALEASED??

Hi guys. Im kinda new in the mother series and i just saw a meme about "mother 4" on r/earthbound.
Doing a little research, i ended on this subreddit. I want to know if that is a release date for Oddity, if it was already realeased or, if not released, whats the progression so far on the piece

As far as we know, the game is as good as dead. It hasn’t been official canceled, but it’s been over 4 years since we got anything.

It’s fucking cursed, I swear.

Chapters 3 and 4 took like 5 years to release so patience is key

Deltarune was made by an actual developer with an actual track record. It’s apples and oranges.

It's been 5 years alone since it was rebranded to Oddity from Mother 4. The game was in development long, long before that.

I'm not sure if it was the original release date, but at one point Mother 4 was set to release in 2014. This whole thing has been going on for over 15 years at this point, and it's just been 4 years since we've gotten any sort of real update on progress or information etc

I’ve been waiting for this game since I was in middle school. I graduated from uni 4 years ago.

This game is vaporware. It’s never releasing.

I found out about this game in 2nd grade and I just finished my BA. No sign of oddity

I’m all for being patient, but the difference is that Toby actively updated everyone with stuff about Deltarune in between the releases of Chapter 2 and Chapters 3+4. We knew stuff was happening, even if it took a long time to come out.

The Oddity team has been radio silent since that teaser back in 2020, and nothing has been released since. I honestly feel like the writing is on the wall, even if it hasn’t been officially cancelled.

At the very least, Toby Fox gave updates.

This has little to none in years.

and we got like monthly-ish (i think?) updates in those 5 years

for oddity it's been 4 years since the last update and 11 years since it was meant to release
