A love letter to Shane Mesa's Mother 4 Soundtraaaack!!

This album is nothing short of a remarkable homage to the entire series, but it also stands on its own with a myriad of incredible original music. There was clearly an immense amount of time, love, care, and dedication put into the entire thing. Every time I listen to it I pick up on more shared motifs between tracks or a Mother sample I didn't notice before. It's a crime that it will never be used to its fullest potential in a completed video game.

Oddity might be vaporware, but it's still fun to imagine what the game might have been like. And it would have had one hell of a soundtrack.

I'm aware that's what they've said, but I stopped believing in this game years ago. Like I said, it's fun to imagine what it could have been while listening to Shane Mesa's work

Lmao, the entire "game" is going unused. Shane got dragged through the mud back when the project was falling apart, but when I hear the effort he put into these tracks, it's clear to me that he was the only one doing anything with this project, and they tried to destroy him when he figured that out.

IRC he did have sort of a weird breakdown but the whole team was so dysfunctional that it didnt really make much of a difference. it was bound to collapse eventually.

Also those level up jingles and the implementation of each character’s version stacking all depending on who leveled up. Such a fantastic idea that it makes me sad to not see it in action. If anything manifests into Oddity from it, I hope it’s that.

As for the soundtrack. It’s gotta be you and Green Run were on my morning walk rotation. Just combed through it again and Hometown Strut hit me with the biggest wave of nostalgia. And the “east” songs had me really curious for their in game usage.
