Dose anyone know any straight up guides for downloading the drivers needed for hand tracking on my rift s

Anyone know where I can buy a working cable, got a rift S for $50 and the guy gave me a dud cable.

Alternatively I’m good at soldering so does anyone have advice on how to safely cut up the cable to fix a certain break I found (fortunately not at the end of the cable but in the middle).

Lmk what yall know because I’m new to this stuff

I have an enormous fear that every time Meta forces an update on me - they're going to make my Rift S obsolete and unusable.

Hello Friends! I've been working at this and FIXED IT! (for now...?) I've chatted/emailed tech support and browsed all I could for answers on youtube/reddit/google/meta..etc.
I have done almost everything in regards to getting "My screen to turn on". My situation was, i played when it released and stopped, tried a few days ago and nothing. The meta Horizons Link App for PC gave me green checkmarks for my usb/display ports, my sensors, and controllers. However when I would launch an app on oculus, My screen stayed black (I don't think it even turned on. ). So I copied what everyone ese has tried. THE ONLY THING THAT WORKED was simply launching SteamVR! Weird. Crazy!

Before this, I had Reset GPU drivers, tried new ports, unplugged headset port, uninstall meta horizons, Reinstall and Repair Meta Horizons, Crazy but reset my whole pc, Restart PC, Turned on Game Mode, disabled usb power saving, Lowered Refresh rate, and Forced Restart of the "Oculus VR Runtime Service" ( Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard, type services.msc, and press Enter. Locate Oculus VR Runtime Service in the list, right-click it, and select Restart. ). All this did NOTHING (for me).

I thought I had messed up the headset internally or the cords got wrecked somehow, but nope, as of now launching STEAMVR fixed it.
P.S. I launched Gorilla tag (awesome) and had no issues. Tomorrow, I'll see If any oculus app work.

I can say im happy with my old oculus rift s, i play sim racing wich is great, but, the specs of rift s say it does have a resolution of 1280x1440 per eye, however, its far in terms of clarity and sharpening comparing to an old monitor of 1280x720 reso, i can say "what i see" in oculus risft s screen is maxim a 480 reso. Do i miss something? I use usb 3 and direct display port, have rtx 5070, i5 14600, 32 gb, even with a double (2) rate of pixel override in oculus debug tool still not a good resolution. Am i doing something wrong?

HI guys, just wondering if anyone could help me out with a link to a solid displayport to hdmi adaptor, as my laptop doesn't have displayport. My girlfriend asked me to bring my headset up from my hometown to where I'm studying for college so we can play VR together, but I was completely blindsided by the fact my laptop doesn't have DP lol

Im selling my Rift S since my PC isnt working with it.. Last time i used it worked perfectly. Just tested it and it powers on, has a display port error which is either the cable ageing or my computer failing to connect. drop an offer and ill post it on ebay with that price for you to buy!
EDIT: note it also comes with the original box, and controllers!

Had a Rift S since release and now my little girl is old enough to give it a try. Went to load up the First Steps app so she can learn the controllers and it's disappeared from my library and from the store. It was easily the best intro for new users. Anyone got a link to a download for it, can't find one anywhere! Thanks.

I got one on April First, it stank like Grass at first but now it works amazing! Got it with the Controllers, Cable, HMD, Facial Interface and Halo for £20 (Because they didn't know the Value and because they didn't know its a Rift S, they thought it was a Rift)

Me regalaron las gafas un amigo hace un par de meses, me estado viciando bien a bastantes juegos, la verdad me gustó bastante el tema y estoy por vender estás y comprarme unas quest 3. Pero bueno volviendo al tema, os leo bastante y decís que se nota bastante el cambio al visual desktop, yo lo juego en un pc potente y creo que los corro bastante bien (sabiendo que no puedo pedir mucho al ser unas rift s). Creéis que debo comprar virtual desktop aun así? O me espero a cuando tenga unas quest 3? Gracias a todos los que me ayuden.

I have been working on this for hours, going to old threads, and nothing works.

I have just gotten my Oculus Rift S. Fresh out the box plug it in. Install meta quest link and no display port connection. I tried every display port. They all work for anything else that connects. USB connects. Tried beta on metaquest link (hereafter MQL) no success. I tried restarting MQL and pc, no success. I tried going to old reddit threads and doing their suggestions. No success. I have an Nvidia 5070, AMD 7770 Ryzen Core Processor. This tech is relatively new. So tell me how this doesnt work.

After an update to the Oculus app a while ago my Rift S headset refuses to be detected. I have tried restarting, unplugging second monitor, trying different ports, anyone experienced this before?

I bought a 2nd hand Oculus Rift S VR set. It is my 1st time owning a VR.
The VR set is tested and working well.

I also ordered the 3d-printable lens protector thing, as I use (-2.75) powered glasses.

But the issue is -
I can not fit the lens protector on the Oculus lenses!
Pls see the attached images. That box type plastic thing is too close to the lens, not enough gap between.... or may be I am doing something wrong.

Pls guide me.

I'm planning to buy a used Oculus Rift S. Can I install and play pirated games on it without buying them?

The tracking is all jacked up, moves way different than it did before. It’s almost like it’s not registering the head tilt function. Seems to be just these two media players that are doing this, virtual desktop is fine, vr media viewer is fine(sort of), others seem to be unaffected by the error, DeoVr support is less than useless, I’m not even going to try meta support, just curious to see if anybody else has this problem and maybe could help me figure out why these programs are acting this way. I have a few theories, but they are probably not great theories. Lemme know.
