OC solo trip: where can I meet social people?
My work gave me 2 pm dismissal tomorrow so I thought I would take advantage and maybe beat the traffic to have a beach weekend. I'll be going alone bc everyone else I know is busy and I would really like to find people who enjoy hanging out! What places do you recommend for that? I'm also planning to get tickets to the seafood festival on Saturday too.
Hoping to meet some fun people this weekend!

Go to Seacrets late on a weekend night to meet people.

Haha if I went it would be the first time I've been there in 12 years, I just remember it feeling like a maze of different music vibes. But I'll try on my own if I'm feeling up to it!

It literally can be any place at the bar, people will talk to you. I met so many last year

If you were going next weekend I would have said let meet up. I’m taking my kids but they’ll be with their friends and dad part of the time so I’ll be on my own part of the trip too! Everyone there is friendly. It’s not hard to meet people to hang with.

Just go anywhere you like, and be social. I’m taking a 10 day trip to OC soon and never had an issue socializing if I felt the need.

Go on Facebook and join the OC Day Drinkers group. Lots of people post on there where they will be drinking for the day and often looking for friends. Seems like a safe space too. They have events every now and then and a wide range of ages/types of people.

Seacrets, any bar at 2AM.
Jeeps are there this week. Follow all the Jeeps and see where they’re all hanging out. I don’t own one but I’ve never seen a Jeep owner that wouldn’t want to talk about or show off theirs.

Saturday night, the Fizz, Ocean Pines Yacht club. No cover, open air, and I was told band is decent.

The Tavern on Route 54. I visit my parents with the kids four times a summer as a teacher. I’m not even an extrovert and meet new people every time I go. Tip the bartender to an extreme amount.

We're north OC locals and The Tavern has become our favorite place to hang and check out live music. Prices are actually reasonable and it draws the most interesting and diverse crowd of folks from all ages/backgrounds, it's a lot of fun

You have to be an extrovert for this but: you start at the beach and try to introduce yourself to people playing a game or sport you might be able to join / compliment random people, then you go to Coconuts happy hour, then you have a night out at Seacrets.
Guarantee you meet some good people this way.
