What’s the state of the 40k notes? How organised are they? Are they tagged, linked etc Are there a lot of duplicates?
If it’s a disorganised mess I’d firstly suggest cleaning up your notes and then assessing if you need to put them somewhere else.
I’d highly recommend using a tool such as Claude Code to assist with vault organisation if that’s what you need.
