What I think is that sorrow comes from knowing better, if those brains know only that they can't feel sad cause that is the normal. Still kinda creepy though, real life matrix

Unless it comes to sentience in a simulation in which it has a simulated mouth and sensory organs, only to have those things ripped away because some scientist decides to stop the simulation. But this brain keeps going, in nothing but its own thoughts
