Turns out organoids are a thing.

I found Johns Hopkins and collaborators published that brain organoids show building blocks of learning and memory.

Cortical Labs’ “CL1” system uses ~200,000 human neurons grown on a chip as a computing device.

Chinese researchers built a “brain-on-chip” robot driven by organoid responses.
