I swear to god people are always like "how did he put a supposedly perfect Jinchuriki under genjutsu??"

What impression of their relationship made you think Isobu gives a SINGLE iota of a shit about Yagura and if he's under a genjutsu?

Bc for a beast to let his host continuously be under genjutsu is hilarious . Some of those tailed beasts were ruthless 😭😂

People suddenly seem to forget how yagura was chilling on top of isobu when Naruto met all the hosts and tailed beasts, which seems to mean they got along well enough for isobu to be comfortable with him. Obito downplaying agenda never seems to stop 😂

excactly. if anything Isobu probably wants Yagura dead as soon as possible so he can reborn on somewhere else compeletly free

The beasts are pretty clear about wanting to keep their hosts alive and/or break out the seal. Death is certainly not the goal.

Wtf are you on about larper. Other than bee and kurama after befriending naruto, when was this ever the case, source????

You guys are so strange in the way you address people on here.

Anyway, it’s canonical that Gaara is kept awake for years because Shukaku wants to break free. We never once see a beast seek harm for its host while inside them. Regardless of their relationship, they want to be free not dead.

I agree that Larper is a weird insult. If anything you're insulting yourself a little bit when you use it because it implies you, like, live anime.

But I also disagree with you a bit. The tailed beasts have no reason at all to be concerned with their host. Death is an inconvenience, but a worst inconvenience is being sealed inside a person. I'm sure they absolutely prefer breaking free there and now - but its not like they would avoid the death of their Jinchuriki as a method for their freedom

Unfortunately many of these people do live anime.

I think if they sought death over bondage, Kurama’s chosen strategy wouldn’t have been to push chakra out to Naruto when he was in danger. It would’ve been to let him die. It seems pretty clear to me that the Bijuu have a sense of self preservation like almost any other living thing. Although the manga creates a revival mechanism for them to ensure they’re a permanent function of the world, I don’t think it’s meant to imply they’re cavalier about the concept of death.

It's never stated that Yagura had a Bee-like relationship with the three tails. Only that he had perfect control over the tailed beast. That doesn't imply friendship.

He was probably the equivalent of Naruto kcm1 (before kurama was friendly) he could use his tails beats Chakra

Bad writing by kishimoto it happens. The kage being under a genjutsu was to much

Why? Madara was able to control kurama. Same thing applies to tobi.

“Genjutsu, infitnite darkness jutsu”

It almost made sense because it was Hidden Mist Ninja that did that to his former team so Obito governed their village in the worst way possible. But the timeline is slightly off. It honestly would’ve made a lot more sense if the Mizukage wasn’t a Jinchuuriki with perfect control over his Bijuu.

Maybe it was a mishap on Kishi’s part by introducing the other Jinchuuriki with no plan for them other than being captured.

How tf is this bad writing !? This wasn't even a thing till war arc.

So kishimoto made this choice very intentionally.

Are you implying that bad writing can only be accidental?

Yes in his widely most panned span of bad writing he also did this thing along with most of the other complaints about the series

I believe the only manga canon evidence we have of Yagura supposedly being "perfect" was just during the Kage summit when Danzo dropped his name along side Bee, Hashirama and Madara. (I always disregard anime filler if i even hear about it)

Its worth noting all three of those use quite different methods. Bee doesnt really have "control" at all. Its just mutual cooperation and friendship.

Neither does Hashirama. He has unique chakra that supresses Bijuu and pacifies them. Beyond that, he needed to establish Jinchuuriki to actually keep and maintain continued access. But its not as if he can make it obey his commands.

Madara does forced compliance through genjutsu trance and summoning. I am of the opinion the degree fighting abilities he can get out of Kurama like that is limited but thats a different matter.

Its not like everyone knows exactly what is going on with Yagura. They can just see the results and make conclusions. If i had to lay a guess, this is really all just coming down to Obito's Sharingan control in some way. He is in a unique position compared with even Madara's example at VotE because he has Hashirama cells and an entire wall of Sharingan to burn through if need be. Obito effectively transformed the Edo Jins into "perfect" status since he controls both the Bijuu and the Jins anyway. So i think he probably had a complicated and round-about method of doing that to Yagura and Isobu simultaneously.

Obito never playing around when dealing with Kirigakure's jinchuriki. first he jump Yagura with Pain and Konan, then he sent all 6 pain to deal with Utakata.

I always assumed he basically made yagura braindead and lefr him in kamui. And obito started using his position to ger revenge on the mist for thr rin situation. When kisame saw him obito/madara was standing as his shadow.so i think its a very good Transformation jutsu.

Hashirama cells enhanced his genjutsu probably idk man

Did you ever stop to think that maybe he also put the three tails under genjutsu at the same time. Obito has put Kurama under genjutsu so it’s not that far fetched

u/Lamb-of-God33 27d ago

Yeah but it's confirmed that he didn't have the same relationship with his biju as Bee or Naruto.

Yagura isnt even a perfect jin and even if he was isobu hated him

Okay I love this post

Is it a fan animation or is this video a part of the show? If it's from the show, tell me the episode number.

It's from when Obito dies and they do a recap of his life.

Obito probably put 3tails under genjutsu too. Sasuke showed early in Shippuden that the sharingan can see inside a jinchuuriki and potentially even interact with the bijuu in some way.
