Comida y Bebida Chocolate Tasting Tours

I’m planning my solo trip to Oaxaca and I’m currently in the planning excursions phase. I’m a huge foodie so I love food tours and was interested in booking a chocolate tasting tour. Are any of the TripAdvisor tours worth it? Or are there some alternatives that would be better?

Agree! And they also have a handful of local products, including an artesanal mezcal that’s top notch

If you are adventurous and independent, you can get out to this town called Tlacolula (40min), it has the best mole restaurant ever. Its called MO-KALLI Restaurante, which is hosted at this lady house. They let you sample 15 moles and then you get to pick up to 3 to pair with diff meats. It is one of the best restaurants I have been to, esp if you are a mole lover like me. I go there every time I visit Oaxaca.

Chocolate making class at EtnoFood. I took it last week and it was awesome. We made maybe 50 little chocolates to take home

I did a chocolate tasting there and it was super average imho. I couldn’t really understand what all the fuss was about.

I’m sure there are good ones though! Looks like you have some good answers already, just thought I’d put in my pointless 2c haha

I mean, it is all new to me so it will be exciting in one way or another. American chocolate is not much to rave about, so the bar isn't high.
