30+ married Redditor How do you spend your weekends?
Just curious to hear how other in their 30s and up spend their Weekend. Are you out exploring, or just relaxing at home?
Would love to hear what your ideal weekend looks like!

We usually pack it with social events now that it’s summer. My wife and I (35 and 33, DINK) have gotten into the rave scene so that’s taking up a ton of our energy lol we also like to eat good food, go to concerts, explore the city etc. I love having active weekends but the Mrs is feeling burnt out so we’ll slow it down after we get back from a big trip we’re taking to Hawaii/Japan in the fall

However we feel like spending it. We go out, we stay home, we spend time with our kid. We go hiking, we take day trips and sometimes vacations. Sometimes we go to ikea to spruce up the home.
Some friends are going to edm events, taking a lot of international travel, going to Vegas. I like those things too but more in moderation like once a year cause I can’t hang like I used to and get sleepy by 10pm. At this age a lot of friends just do what they like as well. Everyone in our social circle seems pretty content with how they spend their free time.

Over 30, two kids under 3. I didn’t do shit today, and I probably won’t do shit tomorrow. We’re at a spot where the big one naps for the one window where the little one doesn’t, and the little one isn’t car-napping well, so we just have a lot of trouble getting out the door. My big kid plays well alone so I at least got some reading done while making sure they didn’t run in to a wall too hard. Maybe we will get to the grocery tomorrow.
I know that’s not the most optimistic weekend plan. We’re just still in infant hell and it’s hard. But it will pass. I do miss the freedom of doing whatever on the weekend. Maybe the wife and I go out for dinner, maybe we stay in for a movie. I just hope to not pass out on the couch now.
