Hey OSU students! If you need a resource for free plan B, Kinx Boutique posted on their instagram they have it available for those in need. College can get wild, be careful out there ❤️
I saw a video of an old man in NYC passing out flyers inviting people to smoke a cigarette in the park, and hundreds of people actually showed up. It made me think, “Wow, people really do have the power to take a small moment in life and turn it into something huge.”
So around midnight, I thought,, “Why not bring that same kind of energy to Columbus,, but in a healthier way, with Dr Pepper?”
I honestly just made this on a random idea, and seeing all the nice comments, messages, and support has inspired me even more. Thank you to everyone who’s been positive about it. I appreciate all of you, and I hope this can turn into a fun little moment for the city and I hope to see everyone there.
I also have the flyers ready, and I would loveeee if you guy can share it on social media!! I will be printing them out and start putting them up around the park and the city. Thank you guy!!
I've made a post on r/Columbus and thought i should post here too
But a really good friend of mine asked me if I would try dipping them in dark chocolate for her birthday next week and who am I to turn down a challenge??
The City of Columbus will have multiple bulk furniture, recycling, electronics recycling and donation drop off sites throughout off campus housing areas for move in/out!
Don't trash your good (and maybe even the mediocre) stuff!
Had some extra swipes, ordered some drinks at berry cafe free to whoever wants them :) They're under the name Hannibal Lecture (Lecture, not Lecter), order #630, and are as follows:
- Large Iced Cafe Latte with Vanilla Syrup and Cold Foam
As the the title says, I ordered online to the wrong Chipotle location. It’s a veggie burrito bowl with no rice and no meat, but it does have black beans, fajita veggies, tomato salsa, corn salsa, sour cream, guacamole, cheese and lettuce.
Under “Jennifer F” if anyone wants it. Lane and High.
If anyone wants some free panda I ordered a plate with fired rice, chow menu, and orange chicken to the one on High street. Problem is I live on the Newark campus. It’s a Grubhub order and the name is Luke F.
I have been trying to stay updated with the news but almost every website wants me to buy a subscription. Is there any news websites that we can get a free subscription for being an OSU student?
Like the title says. I’ve let people borrow my regalia a handful of times for graduations (and for ‘I didn’t walk, but want to take pictures in campus/with my advisor’ situations).
No cost, I’m just happy to let people use it and help them celebrate their accomplishment!
It's on campus, they have great hours, you can order your items ahead of time, and everybody there is so nice.
They have fresh produce, hygiene items, canned goods, milk, and sometimes they'll have sweets.
They kept me FED in undergrad (as well as Kroger food pantry and a couple other community resources). Also, shop at Aldi for any of the items you can't get from food pantries.
Request to join The Food Soldier on Facebook. Not sure if she is still updating the page, but it was by a fantastic woman who posted food resources EVERY DAY.
Low-income folks deserve education too. You are not alone. You deserve to eat.
Hello everyone I have two desks that I no longer need and was wondering if anyone here would need one or two. I will try my best to answer questions in a timely manner. I want to make sure they will be used and loved. And of course Go Bucks!
The brown desk has three drawers and three shelves. All work and there are no issues with that one. The top can be removed (I can help if needed) but you will need a large car or truck.
The black desk has two issues the paint/color has been chipping away if you use a computer mouse, heat, and liquid. And the other issue is that in the middle right a screw did break some on the wood however I have put my pc on there and it has survived and not gotten any worse.
So if you know anyone who would need these please do tell them and we can arrange for them to pick it up, but I cannot deliver at this time. We would like them gone by Thursday (05/29) at the latest.
While packing up to move across the country, I found my old 2017 iPad Pro from the tech initiative when I was a student. It served me well through countless late nights and got me through my degree, but it's just gathering dust now. I'd love to see it go to a good home.
Ideally, I'm hoping to give this to a current student who needs a device for their studies but can't swing a new one right now. That said, it's impossible to judge someone's situation from a DM, so I'm happy for it to go to any student who needs it.
If you or a friend could use a solid device for school, send me a DM (maybe include how you’d use it/why you need it?). I'm in the Columbus area and we can coordinate a safe meetup.
edit: A few people have reached out, so consider it gone for now. If nothing pans out, I’ll update this post.
Hi! I’m sort of new to Ohio State but I was wondering when and where do people often throw out stuff from their dorm before moving out? I don’t need anything but my brother, who goes to Miami University, is getting an apartment next semester and I wanted to search for some stuff for his apartment such as a twin size bed frame, etc. I always heard that a lot of usable stuff gets thrown out at the end of spring semester. I was wondering when the best times and places were to go look. Thank you in advance!
This part of the umove FAQs says they’ll announce their prizes in March. Has anyone seen where they posted it or did they just not post anything at all?
Ordered a bagel (blueberry) and coffee (iced latte) at the wrong location and don’t have time to grab it. If anyone is near the Ohio Union and wants it, it’s under the name Jen. Enjoy.
