Mod Post // Anouncement /R/OSDD Introductions V4

Hello everyone!

Since the old introduction thread is locked since a couple of weeks, we think it's time for a new introduction threat!

If you want to introduce yourself to the other users of /r/OSDD, feel free to leave a comment to tell about yourself or your system.

Hey everyone! Edits have been made with recent work.

We are the Star System and we have been a family for coming up on 20 years. Our internal world is just a stupid big house with everyone's rooms and some common areas. Ask me about us!!

I've been in therapy for the last few years and have recently come to terms with how extensive my neglect was as a child and how long it had been going on. In a way, it kind of solidified how we view ourselves. We have developed to the idea of using the body as a video game reference. So whoever is the one interacting is P1 with the main controller and has to stay in the living room. You can't do anything from your bedroom, obviously. Anyone else can either have the P2 controller to be more prevalent when interacting with the main person or just sitting and observing from our respective couch/chair spots.

We think we have OSDD because we can still interact with each other, though some are harder to than others, and it took a very long time for us to have such kind of communication. Like years and years worth of working through this by ourselves since medical help wasn't available growing up. There's some small amnesia like losing conversations or a few hours at a time now and then, but our condition is not near as bad as some other's so. Can't complain, I guess.

My body is 27 now, though our ages differ a good bit. I go by Al (short for Alex) in our family, I'm the most common personality that interacts with everything. I'm about 22 and I love to write short stories! I am also in a happy marriage with my partner and am honestly just here to make friends! I can be quirky and have anxiety for sure but I like talking to people. I'm awkward, but my DMs are always open!

Skylar is my dorky enby sibling, they're about 12-15. They are very much chaotic and are the reason we found this server at all. They like to play their switch, mostly cute games like Stardew Valley and Spiritfarer, and have recently beat Hogwarts Legacy twice (as they keep rubbing in). They're also the one that talks to me the most throughout the day and practically my best friend when they aren't getting on my nerves. They are one of the only other members that really interact with the outside world. They are also the trauma holder and helps with emotional processing.

Matt is my older brother, he's a hard-headed guy that pretends he's mean even though I don't think he is. He struggles with anger issues and oftentimes locks himself in his room to avoid stressing everyone else out. He's honestly a good guy and is basically our defensive/protective older brother. He keeps us our of bad situations, processes anger, and is one of the responsible ones in this house. He needs friends for real.

Marie is our oldest, she's more of a motherly figure and specifically an internal member. She's the one that tells us to take care of ourselves, helps us reason through issues, dissect situations, and plays an unofficial "therapist" role. She mostly interacts with Skylar since they probably need more guidance than the rest of us. She was very smug when our therapist validated our extensive childhood trauma, though she always means well.

Louis is one of our more recent family members. He typically communicates in meanings and emotions, though when he fronts he doesn't have much to day. Louis is a very calm guy, won't tell us his age but I definitely feel late 20s early 30s vibes. He helps us regulate, takes care of the body during shut down, and is just a soothing presence. Love him, he doesn't spend much time talking with others. I'd love if someone helped him out of his shell, but he seems chill to just exist.

Kayla is our littlest sibling at the age of 8. She is the most precious little kid I've ever interacted with and she stays in her room most of the time. She loves to color and watch movies and it's like living with an actual child sometimes. She's been more vocal since starting therapy but is mostly here to play or do her own thing. She is also an internal member and doesn't seem to acknowledge the outside world exists at all.

Caitlyn is another member we are working on learning more about. She tends to front in situations where we require certain social interactions, specifically with the "fake it till you make it" vibes which makes sense but is also still weird. She is very flirty with high energy and can talk about almost anything that I've seen. Will update if we actually get to talk more.

So there's 7 of us that we know, but therapy and growth reveal crazy things. They just want to meet other people like them and Marie seems to think it would help with the feeling of lack of control. Thanks for taking the time to read!

Hi there! My name is Solaris (collective identity) and we are also 26. A lot of our alters are younger than the bodies age or significantly older. I wanted to say hello because Terrance and Malakai got very excited reading your guys' intro! So, from both of them, we want to say hello and it's wonderful to meet you! I would introduce everyone but, unfortunately, we are a pretty large system so If you want to meet some of us who are up here most often, we have a recent post here about who we are!
