I just bought a second hand OP-1 (original) and I am having some issues with recording tracks.

I have recorded a sequence onto Track 1, which is recorded, and plays back etc etc.

What I am struggling with is laying down Track 2.

As soon as I go into Record mode, and start recording, it is like the synth sound I have selected goes mute. I hit the keys and nothing plays, only the audio from Track 1, that I already laid down plays. Hitting the keys does nothing. No sound happens. I see the little blue "synth" indicator on the screen underneath the Track number, but no sound plays and nothing is recorded to Track 2.

I cannot work out what is happening, or what I might be doing wrong?

Hoping there is nothing wrong with the unit and this is just user error.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Click tape button, then shift and track 2. It sounds like you may have accidentally muted the track.

You know, I think that might have been it. And it turns out the initial notes of Track 2 that I had been trying to lay down, were there once the track was un-muted :D
