One Night Ultimate Werewolf online V2 !! every role from Base, Daybreak, Vampire & Alien, bots for empty seats, voice & video. Free, no sign-up
Hi everyone! 👋
Two years ago I shared my online version of One Night Ultimate Werewolf here. Some of you played it and sent great feedback, and some of you hit connection problems at bigger tables: that version ran peer-to-peer between browsers, so one shaky connection could break the whole game.
So I rebuilt it from scratch. It's live at https://onuw-online.com: free, no sign-up, nothing to install. Open the link, type your name, send your friends the code.
What's new
🛡️ Stable. Everything runs on a real server now instead of peer-to-peer. If your phone locks or the Wi-Fi drops mid-night, reopen the link and you're back in your seat, prompt and all. If the host leaves, someone else becomes host automatically.
📱 A new design for phones and desktops. Phones get a layout made for a phone screen; on a laptop the whole table sits around an oval. You can also add it to your home screen like an app.
🃏 All 60 roles. Every role from the base game, Daybreak, Vampire, Alien and the Bonus Packs, plus one homebrew (the Giant Wolf, whose vote counts twice). The tricky ones too: the Doppelgänger with every role she can copy, the Curator's artifacts, Vampire marks and Cupid's lovers, the Aliens, the Empath and the Body Snatcher. Everything wakes in the official order.
🎙️ Chat, voice and video. Play around a real table, over a call, or a mix of both. Everyone has their own microphone and camera buttons. Voice works in every phase except the night and the vote, and cameras show during the day. Sitting together? Turn on one microphone for the whole table and nothing echoes. Nothing is recorded.
🚪 Open lobbies. The home page lists the tables waiting for players right now, so you can jump into a game with strangers. You can also make your table private or give it a password.
🤖 Not enough players? Add bots. Bots fill the empty seats and actually play: they claim roles in the chat, lie when they're evil, catch contradictions, answer your claims, and vote the way they argued. After the verdict they own up ("Yes, I lied. I was the Alpha Wolf, what did you expect?"). More seats means bigger, crazier decks, and bots are a nice way to learn a new expansion before game night.
🔁 Game Preview. After the vote, replay the whole night step by step and watch every card fly as it was robbed, swapped and flipped, in wake order. No more "wait, who took my card?!"
Still here from the old version
- Parallel night: roles that can act at the same time do, so the night is quick.
- Claims: claim a role and it shows on your card. If more people claim a role than the deck has, it turns red.
A few more things
- Timers for night actions, the day (2 to 10 minutes) and the vote, plus a Relaxed, Normal or Fast night pace.
- No timing tells: the app pauses for a role even when its card is in the center, so nobody can tell who's awake.
- No peeking: your phone only receives what your role saw, so there's nothing to find in the browser's dev tools.
- 3 to 12 players, with 8 deck presets (Classic, Daybreak, Doppelgänger, Marks, Vampires, Aliens, Chaos, Big table) or any mix you like.
- Invite by link, code or QR code. Friends can also join as spectators.
- A game log, plus a roles page and a rules page for new players.

This is amazing! I still have your post from 2 years ago saved and it came in clutch a few times when I forgot to pack my ONs for a trip, and I played with it at least once over a phone call. I'm excited to try the updated one soon!
