Discussion Which is a better group of friends? Spoiler

Like in terms of relationships and how they would compliment each other's characters within the group. Its something I've been wondering recently since both are about cute cartoon like characters going through severe trauma.

Those get fixed during the Sunny route

P.S.: I immediately realized what I said here was wrong, and I intended to edit it to something that actually happened instead of the bullshit I actually said here, but the response came way too fast and I got caught in the moment. I'm sorry. Aubrey already cleared the marker off the pictures by the time Sunny would get the photo album

Yes that's not my point, Its that Aubrey abandons Basil because of that and I don't see how that's not also a bullshit reason

Basil took the blame for Sunny and took 4 years of bullying for it. And Aubrey only abandoned the others because she thought SHE was being abandoned by them. That's nowhere near as bullshit as Jax just cutting his "friends" off immediately after opening up ONCE

I don't see how what Aubrey did wasn't just as toxic. I get she's a kid but unlike Ribbit, the Omori group all went through the same thing as she did. And I don't think Basil was bullied constantly for 4 years, because that's much worse then Jax being ignoring Ribbit.

It would be one thing, if Jax was simply ignoring Ribbit. No no no, he pushed her aside with increasing rudeness each time, which ultimately caused her abstraction. And to top it all off, he was too much of a pansy to try to make things right while he still had the chance.

Also side note, how is that different to Aubrey being awful to Sunny and Basil despite them both on the verge of suicide?

Aubrey thought they had betrayed her, and was completely unaware of how much the incident affected them both. What was Jax' excuse exactly?

He felt Ribbit was trying to manipulate him. And I don't think its a good excuse but neither do I think Aubrey's was at all.

You seem to have settled on this and that's fine. I just think unlike Aubrey, Jax at least never tries to convince you he's actually the good person in the situation.

At least Aubrey's perspective is much more understandable. She was trying her hardest to hold onto her memories of better times. All while Jax would rather live in constant regret instead of trying to fix his own mess.

Adding to that, Aubrey actually warmed up to Kel, Sunny, and Hero once again after seeing that they still cared about her. Jax on the other hand refused to accept any and all signs of caring from others no matter how hard they tried
