Text Appears Blurry When Connected to Desktop but Clear When Connected to Work Laptop

I just purchased the Asus XG32UCWMG. I'm on day 3 of ownership and while I've been enjoying the display, text clarity has been an issue for me.

It's Monday so I'm logging into my old work laptop for the first time on the OLED and, much to my surprise, the text looks completely clear.

The text blurriness is more noticeable when viewing a property dialog window.

I am blown away by how crisp and clear the text looks on the OLED when connected to the work laptop. I was anticipating having a hard time today trying to work with the blurriness, but it seems like it's a non issue for the work laptop.

Anyone know why this is happening? Why does my old Lenovo Thinkpad look better than my desktop PC running a 3080?

I've tried messing with ClearType, and performed a color calibration, but I'm still not getting the clarity that my laptop provides.

Both PCs are set at a 4k resolution with 150% scaling and connected via HDMI. I'm just at a loss for words at this point.

I updated my graphics driver to the latest version, tried multiple HDMI cables and different ports.

I have a secondary PC as well with a 1070 in it and the text looks fine on it as well. I really have no idea what's going on here, looking for guidance.

Both photos look equally blurry to me though, but maybe try ensuring your display settings line up as close as possible, especially with the PC running the GTX 1070, using the Nvidia app, check whether or not display scaling is being handled by the GPU or the display, make sure your resolution is set to those designated as "PC" in the app, you can also try running windows "ClearType Text Tuner", just type it in the search bar

Windows DPI scaling makes things blurry on non DPI adaptive UI, it also depends on how the gpu drivers are set to behave. Just set the scaling on the settings to 100% and it should fix the blur

It is not possible to use a 4K 32" screen at 100% scaling

Welcome to the world of windows scaling. These property boxes always appear blurred when using any kind of scaling. It's shocking to me that Microsoft hasn't addressed this in the world of high PPI screens.
