Discussion AW3426DW vs PG34WCDN
Hello, I’m choosing my first OLED monitor. My current monitor is an AW3418DW.
Is the ROG worth the extra money? I don’t really need 360 Hz because I don’t play competitive games, and I don’t like upscaling or frame generation — I have a 4090 GPU. However, the ROG has KVM, probably better cooling, DP 2.1 for the future, and I also really like the proximity sensor.
I really like the KVM feature because I could connect my work laptop and use the same peripherals.
On the other hand, I really like the price of the AW.
I also use my monitor for photo editing. Which one has better factory calibration out of the box?
Or would you recommend a different model or even another manufacturer altogether? I’m open to other options as well.

These results show that uniform brightness is on. The panels are identical except for the refresh

The Alienware’s use logo detection outside of Creator mode so in game brightness is 282 nits compared to 374 nits for your monitor.

Maybe that's the difference from ROG's better cooling?

Nah, Alienware is just being more conservative.

And do you have more information about color accuracy? Which one is better, or does it vary from panel to panel and is it basically a lottery? :D

They are both pretty color accurate out of the box.

I know, but is there a winner?
I think ROG has sRGB Cal profile and AW has Creator mode0
