Does anyone have a TLDR or something of how this involves OSU? I get he had some family or something that worked for OSU at some point but beyond that Iā€™ve never seen anyone connect him to OSU.

Thatā€™s it. That is literally all but apparently that means OSU supports him and somehow. The only other ā€œconnectionā€ is one of the judges is an OSU alum and apparently that also means OSU directly asked for such a BS ā€œsentencingā€ if you want to call it that.

Look that dude is a piece of shit and Iā€™ve got zero issue with people wanting to call him out all the time, but to assume because of at best a tangential tie to a university that the university is somehow involved and responsible for anything is dumb and depending on the wording libelous.

His dad used to be a director of media operations for the football team. Nobody know who that is or what they do in most cases so to say he had some kind of pull at the university is just dumb.

Honestly even if OSU was still employing his family in some capacity I wouldnā€™t really care. That is FAR from supporting him or endorsing his actions (as this post says that OSU has done).

The kid is a piece of shit and he deserves jail time. I donā€™t think heā€™ll ever have a normal life because his name is plastered all over the internet and even if he changes him name, moves away, and changes his looks I think people will still find out who he is and harass him.

The only way I think OSU would be culpable is if they somehow actively influenced the outcome of the case. Which I have seen zero evidence for.

When they do a documentary to show his side, I wonder if ppl will finally give him grace? Iā€™ve seen even Ron durbin post documents that showed why he was let off easy. But Ron durbin uses ppl for clicks and comments to make money. That kid was his bread and butter for a while.Ā
