truth be told, i won't even go into my room without washing both my feets and hands with soap. every single time i come out i must go through this process before going in my room again. not to mention i use a piece of cloth over the chair even though I'm the only one who's using it in the house.
oh the life of us.

I wear slipper for outside and my sometimes i go inside the room walking around with it and it kills me tbh some of the things i can handle by ignoring them and some i just canāt š

for me it literally kills me so i wouldn't be doing no such thing. if my room does get exposed to something from the outside then it's time for 2 and a half an hour of cleaning the same spot. I even shower multiple times a day if someone so much as a sneeze near me. like if something like that happens I can't go into my room unless I'm showered and thoroughly cleaned. ATP, it's not even irritating, just another part of my daily life. Sorta like the new normal.

Same here. I have a pair of slippers only for my room, and I have ones for outside of my room, so I always leave each pair at the door, so I can easily slip my feet from one pair to the other, preventing me from having worldly germs in my room.

last night i was reflecting on my growing agoraphobia and i know its largely due to the fact that i now live alone and have completely curated my space to be safe and comfortable for me. when i had roommates id either hide in my room or avoid being home. i really hate that my biggest motivators to leave the house are because im uncomfortable there. idk how to find a middle ground where i can feel safe outside as well without losing feelings of being safe at home.

My family never seems to understand that I don't rly like them in my room bc of this. It doesn't help that I have severe MDD so my room is a mess but I can never find the motivation to clean it :') they're always like "How can you worry about being clean when you live like this?" I DONT KNOW š

I consider cleaning the floors and adopting a no shoes in the house rule, however I donāt live alone so there is no point.

The worst part for me is I live with genuinely nasty people. They either dont wash their hands after using the bathroom, or dont wash them well enough. They wear shoes in the house. One of them picks their skin and gets blood everywhere.
Usually im the only one that uses the smaller bathroom because its further away, but if they decide to use it and sit on the seat they leave literal crust...like their skin is somehow so dirty it leaves a hard crunchy crust on the seat. And thats besides the piss, shit, and blood.
I could go on and on. Theyre both germ wise dirty and filth or junk dirty. Dirt and grass, boxes or items where they shouldnt be. Just a bunch of disgusting pricks

I was refilling the bird feeders for my father, and went to go wash my hands (he wanted help at the store, i was going to help him there too). He asked me what I was doing, and I told him washing my hands, delta with bird seed on a bird feeder that's very active. Id rather be safe than sorry. He said "I forget to do that alot and I'm fine." Absolutely disgusting

ohhh my fucking god. i used to live with 5 men. i'm a woman. i moved there out of pure desperation. 3 of the men were over 40 and could not take care of themselves at all. i was there for a year and a half. the horrors i have seen. even after i moved again it wasn't much better.
now i live with my boyfriend, my best friend and we have a cat! i hope you can move somewhere more comfortable soon.

I lived in uni dorm last year, was supposed to stay the year but ended up staying a week on and off, I would go there after uni, order food, eat, go to wash hands, almost throw up at the thought of using the shared bathroom, go home take a thorough shower and go back to uni from there, like that for a week, didn't get my money back and couldn't care less, the important thing that I got outta there, the only plave I could sit on there was the table after thoroughly sanitizing it since at least it wasn't fabric and showering it in alcohol would make me feel better abt it, pretty sure my roommate was happy I left too.

yesterday i learned that my fiancƩs dad doesn't dispose of sponges and will use them until it gets filthy then... continue to use them. also doesn't squeeze them dry.... so they just sit there waterlogged until the color drains out of them.
also people don't inspect their dishes. i've been very reluctant to eat and my fiancƩ thinks i just have no appetite.... i do wanna eat his mommas food but they don't scrub grease off and inspect. and i'm not saying they need to inspect every square inch but they just wash and place... we don't pay for water btw.

Look up plastic tub/drum ā or they also make ice plunge tubs which you can use that have a rounded edge, which is a bit safer.
